Separation of Church and state today means atheism

Then why not just let people rob steal and kill then? I believe we do start with God but people are trying to separate church and state.

Honestly, this is what that is: It is censorship of Christianity and Judaism. It is a denial of our unalienable rights, and it is a rewriting of our Constitution and history as a nation.

Why? Because everyone votes that morals must be upheld unless it is one held by a Christian or Jew. Then it is not allowed: separation of church and state.

So, who is controlling our country over such? --> Everyone against Christians and other religions.

We've turned over our nation to people who are now turning around and saying "Get out! You are not welcome here." That's separation of church and state and what it means today.

No, it means secularism.
The laws are not Christian, stupid, they are secular. It was your Founding Fathers who were trying to separate church and state.
If it is censorship, it's also censorship of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Scientology, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. Do you have a problem with that? Unalienable rights can't be denied. Which rights would those be, btw? The right to be a slave? The right to be forced to marry your rapist? The right to be mauled by a bear for acting like a kid? You're the one rewriting the Constitution and your history as a nation.
Morals is a way too fuzzy concept to be of any importance. We'll do perfectly well with empathy and laws, thank you very much. Please tell us which these unique morals are, that are ONLY held by Christians and Jews; the class is dying to know.
The US of A is one of the most overt Christian nations in the world, stupid; an astounding majority profess to be Christian, and you trust adulterers more than you trust atheists (according to studies).

Who the heck is telling you to get out? They are only telling you to tolerate other people; how hard can that be? Even that precious Jesus of yours told you "that which you do to the least of my people, you do unto me".
I'd say that separation of church and state has never been as threatened as it is today, you imbecile.

Trouble is, Lon, there are millions of Christians and Jews who are perfectly satisfied with the arrangements in the Constitution, the First Amendment of which has remained the same since 1789. They see no censorship and accept the decisions of the Supreme Court, whose members are Christians and Jews, as provided by the Constitution. And there are also millions of Americans who are neither Christian nor Jew. Neither you, nor the Jews you co-opt to your cause without their consent, have a monopoly on being American. Perhaps you'd better learn the motto on the Seal of the United States: E Pluribus Unum.

Let's just reflect on the experience of France, which has been secular for most of the last 200 years. Their robbery rate is about 30% more than the US, their burglary rate 20% less, and their murder rate is about one fifth of that of the US.

So holding to the very documents you've spent the last hundred years all but deifying -- holding to them exactly as they're written -- is suddenly "revisionist" now that they're being read properly and thus becoming more useful to everyone else than they are to you, huh? Fine. If we're revising things then I vote we revise your status as competent human beings because you're clearly too stupid to be trusted with thinking and living on your own (to say nothing of contributing to public policy). If you truly must be the victims you jack off to fantasies of being after a long day of holding the majority of elected offices and oppressing others with the law based upon nothing more than your personal preferences and superstitions then I say we should make it a reality for you. It's the charitable thing -- the demonstrably Christian thing -- to do.

If it WERE atheist, then Church/State Separation would mean everything in your bible was written by men. So we can keep some morals from some men, if we want, without violating our atheism.

You have the right to your religion. You don’t have a right to make ME live by the rules of your religion. And nothing has been taken out of the Constitution. Have you read it? Read the Federalist Papers for how often the Bible is quoted.

No, moron, we vote on laws or on lawmakers to make them.
The Lemon Law just gets rid of laws that have no secular purpose or basis.

If the only reason to write the law is because of someoen’s scripture, yes. It violates CSS. So does Sharia law, though, so be happy.

There are plenty of Christains who understand and support CSS. It really is to your benefit.

The ridiculous fallacious circular self-contradictory straw men juggling: "Atheism means theft and murder and no fascist theocracy means atheism! Oh the good old days when separation of church and state meant theocracy! Theocracy is the defender of all religions! Atheism out!"

But it's much simpler than that. In a free society, if honesty and decency are not enough to convince people with your arguments, you must also compete with those of other religions as well as other phisolophical ones, with uncorrupt education, a free independent press, all that can inform people. Then in a free society, other than actions that are actually harmful enough to be crimes, an informed people can make their own decisions.

The separation of church and state, being neither state atheism nor atheism, not even sponsoring atheism, is what allows all those religions and currents to strive, inform, offer services. It also permits access to services in institutions that cannot discriminate. It is a pillar of free society.

You have the obvious problem of wanting to impose yourself and your ideas on society, you would like to run an authoritarian theocracy. When an informed people does not obey you or conform to your ideals, you would like to abuse them. You would like to deny them the right to be informed elsewhere.

A free people may know that your arguments are flawed or understand that your demands are unacceptable. A huge problem for you if you can't impose by force. An even greater problem if you can face the law for exceeding boundaries.

The answer is always the separation of church and state and being decent, moderate, honest and lawful, reputable. Why is that too difficult for you?

You whine of today and of old times. It may be a clue about outdated ideals and your inability to remain relevant. If I add more it may soon expose motives. In any case, you have to confront the fact that you may not deserve the authority that you would like to have, you may not even be worth more than the others you would like to subjugate.

When you say "out!" it's not out of your religion, it's not out of your church, it's not out of society, but it is out of public education and out of people's lives if they don't want you to interfere, the same with their properties if you cannot follow their rules. And out of sitations harming others that are unlawful as a result.

Exactly and you don't get a special license for that either.
