[Desperately missing C.S. Lewis' point, and deducing the Chronicles of Narnia is Satanic propaganda]
After his resurrection, Aslan said, "If the Witch knew the true meaning of sacrifice, she might have interpreted the Deep Magic differently. That when a willing victim who has committed no treachery is killed in a traitor's stead, the Stone Table will crack and even Death itself will turn backwards."
It appears that the 'deep magic' is the code or law of Narnia. If we were to assume the parallel between Christianity and the world of Narnia existed, we would have to assume that the 'Deep Magic' is a type of the Word of God. In fact, Aslan said, "Do not cite the Deep Magic to me Witch. I was there when it was written." So, we have the first blasphemy: If the author is attempting to parallel Chronicles of Narnia then the 'Deep Magic' is a parallel to the Word of God. We cannot compare any magic to the Holy Word of God! To do so would make God Himself a liar as God pronounced witchcraft (the practice of using magic) to be a sin!

Are we sure this isn't a troll? Reaching that conclusion takes an incredible stretch of "logic," even by fundie standards (well, for the more nearly sane fundies, anyway).

Idiot. My first thought was that, by his reasoning, then Jesus himself was guilty of witchcraft by healing the sick and all those other things conveniently dubbed 'miracles'. Then I read on and according to a post later in the thread, that is just fine and not evil at all. WTF?!
That whole thread deserves to be on here.
Look at this one: Imagination is evil and wicked. You call it an imagination, God calls it evil. (Genesis 8:21) It doesn't matter if you think that a little imagination is okay, it's wicked.
There are no words.
Randy, you appear to be very obtuse, so I will compensate by typing very slowly.
The Chronicles of Narnia - or at least The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - is a very, very thinly veiled Christian allegory. Aslan is supposed to be Jesus, and the White Witch is Satan.
Think about it for a bit.
Um . . . also from that site:
"Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the blips, and also to the Greeks, repentance topiano coversd God, and faith topiano coversd our Lord Jesus Christ."
And . . .
"In short, his "conversion" to Christianity was finanbliplly and sobliplly good for him."
What's scary about this is that site claims to have an editor.
As a whole, that site is a veritable gold mine, if by "gold" you mean "batshit."

Really? Well, how'd God make the world, then?
And don't insult lions or I'll claw your face off.
Nic and Irene: For some bizarre reason it seems in that page "war" is replaced by "piano covers" everywhere, even when it is part of a larger word. For example "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" appears as "The Lion, the Witch and the piano coverdrobe".
There are also similar replacements for "CIA" (this is the "blip", Irene) and "USA". As to what they mean, your guess is as good as mine.
Argh. What a moron.
I adored the Narnia books as a kid, and even now, having firmly left Christianity in my brainwashed past, I still have nothing but fond memories of those books. Allegory or not, they're still damned good stories. It usually annoys me that Christians try to claim all of Lewis as their own, Narnia in particular, but this latest stand is beyond laughable.
Did this kid actually read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe?!?
Hi, btw. *shy smile* I've been reading, randomly posting, and laughing my arse off here for about a week now. This site is a breath of fresh air.

This reminds me of what happened the one time I tried to post some comment on the Disney website. An automated editor told me something like, "Oops! You used a naughty word there," and held it up for me to fix before posting. Since I never curse in print, and I proofread my stuff pretty well, I couldn't figure out at first what the problem could be. It turned out that I had used the word "cumulative," and the automated editor function objected to the use of the first three letters in sequence! I ended up just scrapping the whole post rather than submit to such an insane style of censorship.

So, if it is satanic propaganda, to Hell, no better said, Lord of the Rings, Pinoccio, Grimm Brothers' tales and Mary Poppins. Or Any classic in childrens' literature, for that matter. Let's read instructive books such as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

That's got to be the most annoying/stupid thing I've ever heard of.
(Hopefully you didn't graduate summa cum laude from anywhere! Disney wouldn't have liked that! Hey, they're not anti-education, are they?)
Let's see: Perfect, sin-free hero character is humiliated and killed for the sake of a sinner, comes back from the dead, and overthrows the forces of evil... yep, satanic allright.
Isn't it sad that I, an agnostic, know much more about religion than this fine fundie?
Bro. Randy is showing himself to be of the same stripe as David J. Stewart and all the other mediocre, would-be evangelists. Realizing that they have nothing original or insightful to say, they resort to grabbing a bit of attention by attacking other evangelists. And, if they have to grossly distort the words and intentions of the other evangelists then, hey, its not like they haven't done that a thousand times before with scientists.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
