Atheism is the religion of little faith. Which is really easy. However this is why atheist never achieve much greatness. Generally a person with a dull imagination.

For the billionth time. Atheism is NOT a religion. Is that clear enough or do I have to break out the hand puppets?
Albert Einstein, Mark Twain, Thomas Edison, George Carlin, Susan B. Anthony, Voltaire...and on and on.
As opposed to fundies who have no imagination.
You lose.
Ernest Hemingway
George Bernard Shaw
Percy Bysshe Shelley
David Cross
Ricky Gervais
George Meyer
David Gilmour
Jean-Paul Sartre
Richard Dawkins
Richard Feynman
Sigmund Freud
Linus Pauling
Alan Turing
Never achieved much greatness huh?
"Generally a person with a dull imagination."
Yes, Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams both have (or, in Adams' case, had) incredibly dull imaginations.
Atheism is the religion of little faith
Cue Miracle Max:
It turns out your friend here is only *mostly* dead. Now, mostly dead is still slightly alive.
And, wait, you're saying that you need an imagination to be religious...? That's not gonna help your case, man -- think about it for a few seconds (if you are capable of such feats).
Obviously Mystic 7 is a person of little intelligence. It is really easy to see, otherwise he would read a dictionary and know atheism is not a religion.PS A direct link on his personal page to a sellout like Gwen(I do any kind of crap like "Holla-back girl" for money) Stephani proves that old Mystic is lacking any imagination.
Generally speaking, an atheist has an adult imagination, as contrasted with fundies, who are unable to imagine anything beyond infantile dependence.
Atheism is not a religion.
Also, being an atheist doesn't mean one lacks imagination, it simply means that one knows the difference between imagination and reality.
many atheists like Douglas Adams, Terry Prachett and Phillip Pullman posses fruitful imaginations from which great literature has come forth. And I enjoy imaging their worlds along with them.
In contrast, all the literature written by fundies that I know of is trash. (Left Behind etc). Most fundies seem to have a big problem with fantasy literature and other imaginative things.
I like it when Xtians say their life is so difficult, when in reality, its much harder to be atheist in a large number of nations, including the US. They always talk about taking the narrow path, when they are clearly all on the wide path themselves.
Intertubez to Euclid for The Princess Bride reference.
"My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my faith in human intelligence Mystic7, prepare to die"
A dull imagination is exhibited by someone who blindly accepts EVERYTHING, even blatant scientific and historical errors, just because it's written in an old book that someone else once told them was "divine."
I like you atheists and former believers. You claim YOU know there is not god, but you don't KNOW anything. Just as christians, muslims, jews, buddhist, hindus, etc CAN'T PROVE their gods exist without some kind of faith, you atheists and others CAN'T PROVE gods don't exist without some kind of faith. You're all a bunch of prideful idiots thinking you KNOW anything for sure. You're all fundies, just with different foolish beliefs. NONE OF YOU KNOW ANYTHING BECAUSE NONE OF YOU CAN PROVE ANYTHING....haha:)....you're all very amusing...wasting your life arguing over things and cutting each other down for nothing...fundie fools...
Nahh Thomas, don't use that line because it won't work here.
The Abrahamic god(or any god for that matter) could be proven not to exist because what he supposedly said contradict with verifiable and observable evidence (Just don't get me started where. History, science, social behavior, geology) you don't need faith to proves those things, only evidence and experiment will suffice.
Faith = accepting a statement without the need for reason
Secularism, Atheism = We accept a statement because it fits with facts
And for the last time please do your research. Buddhism don't believe in GOD there is no supreme creator of the universe, it only centers on man alone
Draconiz,
And how dare you acknowledge the Abrahamic god, there is no god, so why do you even acknowledge the Abrahamic religions have a god? And you say "or any god for that matter". I thought god didn't exist? So why are you even acknowledging or taking the time to prove one doesn't exist? Your just as hypocritical as those who say a god does exist. Go yank your "intellect" elsewhere, you hypocrite.
Haha...facts and evidence, what the hell are you talking about man? You have no facts and evidence that proves god doesn't exist, only faith in your so called experiments.
Ahhhh, Draconiz, where'd you go? No answers, no evidence, no proof without faith? Huh? Guess you're not so different from those fundie religious type after all.
Buh bye, Draconiz. Go back to sleep and enjoy your fairytale dreams...haha...fool...
Aw, c'mon, Draconiz! Where's your FACT you believe in that make you an atheist?! You sure it doesn't require a little faith to be an atheist...you secret little fundie, you...
You said, "nahh, Thomas, don't use that line because it won't work here"....looks like it worked just fine....because *poof* you just disappeared....kinda like a fundie without any REAL answers, just man made assumption and philosophy....poor, poor, Draconiz. That's all you base you life on? Such a sad existence it must be.
Right. This would explain why there is a vast array of artists, musicians, philosophers, poets, etc, who are atheists. what was I thinking when i thought these people were brilliant or imaginative.
@Mystic7
Atheism is not a religion
@Thomas
No, atheists have a little something called evidence. While we can't prove that your god, Santa, the tooth fairy, and bigfoot don't exist the burden of proof is on the one making the positive claim. You can't expect us to believe in your god with no evidence, besides a flawed 2,000 year-old book filled with contradictions and scientific errors. I'd like to think Draconiz probably didn't bother responding to your little strawman arguments was because he thought it would be a waste of his time to continue arguing with someone who is obviously an irrational idiot, but I enjoy that sort of thing. I also can't help but notice this site seems to have made you a little butthurt. Problem?
It's not even the Atheists that have shown more imagination, inventiveness or free thought then Christians: It's Pagans or any other religion and philophosy, which you lot still consider unbelievers since they don't believe in your shit.
You (not you personally maybe) attack Christians who write stories you find (somehow) heretical just because they don't wrap their stories in the Abrahamic fables. Is that a commandment in your Bible? You must never tell another story?
Saw Douglas Adams mentioned many times here, an admitted Atheist who's work trancends any Holy Tomb. This guy destroyed religion after Python and many others exposed it's nonsense and he did it with flair, grace and a shitload of imagination.
@ Thomas
Ah, but I do "KNOW" something: I know what a null hypothesis is.
With regards to religions, atheism is the null hypothesis. If you would have us reject the null hypothesis for another, you must present adequate evidence to support your position. You yourself have stated that the existence of gods cannot be proven, which suggests that you do not have sufficient evidence to warrant the rejection of the null hypothesis.
In short son, you failed right out of the gate.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
