Just read the wiki article about this guy: he has three kids (two daughters, one son) - both daughters became pregnant out of wedlock, one of them converted to Islam, and his son (adopted) came out in 2004. He's also been censured by his church for having, apparently, numerous affairs. In public he's a saint, but in private he a hypocrite. Pretty well sums up the religious right.

David B. well of course you're going to contradict them if you bring up the Bible, that's just not fair. You have to understand how modern Christianity works. You go to church once a week, you occasionally buy some shitty music made by young people who just want to make money off of a guaranteed audience, you profess to 'love Jesus' with all the sincerity of Anna Nicole Smith's tears at her Billionaire husband's funeral and then you just hate whatever you want to and claim God hates it too. It's a much better, easier way than reading that dusty old book, I mean if God wanted us to read thing for ourselves he wouldn't have invented preachers.

Actually the Bible says you should obey secular law and at no point suggests that if secular law is not to your liking, you should seek to revolt.
What's the point of proclaiming the Bible to be inspired writ if you never even read the damn thing?
