You have no standing to condemn evil acts. Good or evil can only exist if there is a Moral Prescriber Who determines what is good or evil. You have none.

Word salad with LSD dressing as transcribed by a dyslexic narcoleptic who only caught half the rant.

Starts with "Sure we sin, but..." then doesn't really finish the thought. Then asks if his counterpart would drop his religion if one portion of it was proved false, which is funny and ironic for obvious reasons. Then says Muslims can't call people out for sinning because they don't know what sin is despite clearly calling someone out on it... and finishes by commenting on hats that have less than nothing to do with their faith.

Read out loud it sounds like a string of arguments the speaker realizes fails midsentence followed by a non-sequitor.

I wonder where the "pagan moon god" business came from, beyond Chick Tracts. Muslims revere the same prophets and same stories as Judaism. My even regard Jesus of Nazareth as a prophet conceived miraculously and capable of miracles ... they just don't by the "son of God" or "Holy Trinity" bits.

Unfortunately, in Fundieland whatever some miseducated preacher says is true. Muslims worship a moon god, Catholics worship Semiramis, and Harry Potter turns people into witches. Sure, Fundies sin but even rape and murder are no big deal as long as you tell Sky Daddy you're sorry. (Don't they always say only their god keeps them from committing rape, plunder, and murder?) Non-Fundies go straight to Hell, naturally, because they don't have a personal relationship with Fundie Jeezus.

First of all, due to your convoluted theology, Jesus is Allah.

Second of all, I could point out a few "false teachings" from your pal Jesus. If I show them to you will you renounce him and follow Krishna instead? If not then why the hell would you think it's going to work on a Muslim?

Much of the Qur'an is "don't do this" just like much of your Babble (i.e. Leviticus, which you Christians never seem to read except for the condemnation of homosexuality verse).

Good and evil are almost entirely subjective to the observer, their psychology, their upbringing, their culture, the circumstances, and even their mood. Very little is universally condemned as "good" or "bad" which is why your Wholly Babble and other religious texts that attempt to prescribe what is "right" and what is "wrong" fail so miserably at getting people to follow them.

I do not know anything about Rashid, so I do not know how he would react to being shown a false teaching of Mohammed (of which there are many, of course). If he is a fundamentalist Muslim, then of course he would not listen to you. If he is not, then he might renounce Islam, assuming that you bring up a tangible fact and not a theological question, but that would not mean that he would convert to Christianity, as you would still have done nothing to prove the divinity of Jesus. You know this; after all, you do not think that an atheist would convert to Islam after you "prove" to them that atheism is false.

The same reasons atheists give to disprove this statement can be used here. This is of course ignoring the fact that Rashid DOES believe in a god who proscribes morality.

Jack Chick is the living embodiment of fundie logic failure. Etymological Fallacy: The false belief that the current meaning of a word may be determined by examining its origin.

Because the Arabic word "Allah" may originally have applied to some moon goddess doesn't mean that Allah currently refers to a pagan moon goddess any more than the word "mall" currently refers to a croquet mallet. Since the word "god" originally applied to a Germanic burial mound spirit, does that mean Christians worship a Germanic burial mound spirit? Besides, "Allah" comes from the same root as "Elohim" (plural of "Eloh"), which is used in the Bible, so that would make the Christian God a moon goddess, too. Jesus would have called God "Elah" (Aramaic) - sound similar?

Anyway, the Jewish/Christian/Muslim God's proper name in the Bible is YHWH. "Allah" is merely the word for god in Arabic, not God's proper name.

I think it's a reference to some stupidity in a Chick Tract (yes, I've read them, they're fun in a sick freak show sort of way). There was an "Anti-Freemason" tract about a guy who was a Shriner who's son attempted suicide. It was called "THE CURSE OF BAPHOMET". Dorky Christian Guy tells the Shriner & his wife all this BS about Freemasonry, Shriners, Baphomet, Lucifer, etc. & the alledged origins of red fezes. He tells a tale of Mohammed & his men massacring a Morroccan city called Fez & dipping their headgear in the blood of the slain (hence the idea of Red Fezes). It's probably a load of baloney. Jack Chick is a balogna loaf with legs.

The problem with the above is that Yownanymous is slipping into the "elite" mindset that everyone to Christian Identity to Scientology to Ron Paulites can identify with-- the view that "we" are a small, perfect group who alone are capable of rational thought, while "they", the vast majority, shall forever be condemned to running around like headless chickens. It is painful, as a progressive and an atheist, to see someone with whom I agree consider it a given that he is a member of an exclusive club of rational people in a sea of "ignorant"s.

Remember that church shooting awhile back? The one where a guy strolled in with a shotgun during a children's performance and started shooting? The one that a bunch of Christians jumped on as evidence of how oppressed good Christians of the "we'll call ourselves 'Biblical literalists' even though our interpretation didn't even exist until the 19th Century" are?

Yeah, that shooting was carried out by a Christian. In the name of conservative Christianity. In the name of your preferred god. Because the people in that church weren't Christian enough for him or for his fellow right-wing Christians. (Hell, given that it was a Unitarian-Universalist church, a good percentage were probably not Christians at all, and may have been atheists.)

Christians don't sin when they're behaving as good Christians? Hell, good "Bible-believing" Christians murder in the name of the "Bible-believing" Christian god. If that doesn't reflect badly on your god, I don't know what would.

(...all of which leads me to want to say that batshit and non-batshit Christians worship entirely different gods. The god of Liberation Theology sounds like he would, if I thought he existed, be a pretty decent cat. The fundie god, though? No. Just...no.
