Didn't Jesus die for our sins such that God didn't need to keep killing everyone off like that and so people could go to heaven? Something like that I thought.
In any case Sodom and Gomorrah never existed and that global flood that defies not only geological evidence, but almost every branch of science also never happened.

Please remember that this was ~1000 BCE and people rarely travelled more than 20 miles from their place of birth in their lifetimes , so the idea of a mass gay-migration to the S&G Gayborhood is right out.
And if the flood was there to kill off Teh Homoes, and God only spared 8 people, I'd say he fuxed up hardcore if only 8 out of the entire population of humanity at that point was not homosexual. Shit, let 'em go for a few generations, and they'd have died out, don'tcha think?

Sodom and Gamorrah wasn't all about homosexuality, neither was the degeneration of the human race before the Flood. There was much, much more to it than that, chiefly the fact that demons were mating with and raping humans. The fundies just mention the homosexual part as the whole idea because they want to further their hate-filled agenda of those who are different.
Not to mention that homosexuality is condemned only twice in the Bible, one being in the OT along with the other ancient Levitical laws that are not followed anymore. Adultery and fornication are condemned many, many times more. It has been put forward before that a gay couple in love are much less likely to commit adultery than a straight couple.

I think it's fair to say, though, that if God wants us dead, he can kill us. You are a mortal. To pretend to do something in God's place is awfully presumptuous, let alone to have the audacity to say who he wants to kill. God doesn't like us? He can take it up with us. Not. Your. business.
Furthermore, why is it that fundies automatically equate sin with homosexuality. The world was doused, save for Noah and his young 'uns because the world was sinful and corrupt. Homnosexuality was never once implicitly mentioned in that, so to assume it was a cause ids adding to your Bible. A sin, yes? And the alleged homosexuality that Sodom and Go morrah were supposed to have been incinerated for was RAPE. They didn't want to have sex with the angels, they wanted to rape and kill them. To compare their desire to degrade the angelic guests with homosexual LOVE is flatly appalling.
