Most, if not all of, the greatest tyrants who ever lived and commited the greatest atrocities that were ever conceived of were highly intelligent, well educated etc.... so it's safe to say that the people who are the deadliest are the best educated people. They sorely need Jesus' teachings of love, acceptance and humility.

Well, this explains the whole Christianity in schools thing...they want to dumb everyone down!
I swear, when are these people going to figure out that God gave them a brain for more reason than to fill that coconut they call a head?
'I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them.
Galileo Galilei.
As was mentioned, knowledge is power, and like any power, there are those who use it for positive ends (curing disease, inventing, etc...) and there are those that would use it for negative ends (Said tyrants, and, heh, guess what? Way back when, it was only the church officials and aristocrats that had any form of literacy. I guess by your own logic...) It's not the concept that is bad...it is those that use it that have that capability. And if you'd staunch education to keep people "pure" that makes you no better than said tyrants.
It's official: you're my least-favorite Moron yet. And the worst bit is, he's not even saying anything particularly fundie. Now while I will grant you that the idea that a world of dumb Christians being more peaceful is pretty...dumb, it's still really not up there with "stone the gays and Wiccans".
“Most, if not all of, the greatest tyrants who ever lived and commited the greatest atrocities that were ever conceived of were highly intelligent, well educated etc....”
Do you have any numbers?
“so it's safe to say that the people who are the deadliest are the best educated people.”
Kind of a logic leap, there, from ‘well educated’ to ‘best educated.’
I mean, your premise could also mean that the greatest tyrants were the B students. Highly educated,Highly intelligent… But the A students are the ones who eventually brought them down. You’ve done nothing to disprove that, just assumed the opposite.
“They sorely need Jesus' teachings of love, acceptance and humility.”
And YOU need lessons in logic. I mean, desperately.
Confused?
