Earth to homophobes: if you want to see how welcome the obsession is with forcing homosexuals away from the Boy Scouts, start your own scouting organization e.g., Homophobe Scouts of America and see how much of a market there is for the concept. Allowing the degenerate minority of insatiable agitators to ram their demands down the BSA's throat is not going to win supporters.
As for that ugly all-too-many-hit-wonder bitch, I've heard of him before.. It is an introduction that I dearly wish had been indefiinitely postponed.
Three things about her that don't matter for the purposes of this debate:
I can tell you that my 8-year old nephews (who are both in the scouts) would be very upset to learn that she cancelled a show with the Boy Scouts because she doesn't like a policy the scouts have. And they probably wouldn't be alone...

@hannah87, I didn't say that at all. I never said they'd be upset with her . AFAIK, I don't think they're even aware of the cancellation. If I were to tell them about it, I'd make it clear that I consider the scouts' policy to be wrong and unwelcoming.
It's funny actually. I was with my own 8-year old about two months ago when a scoutmaster went up to him and asked him if he wanted to join. He told the scoutmaster (with absolutely no prompting on my part) that he doesn't believe in god so he wouldn't want to be a scout.
Typical conservative response. If you can't refute their arguments, make fun of them.

As a side note, Scouts Canada (who will accept atheists, homosexuals, and females) has extended an invitation for her to come to their Jamboree.
I've noticed that every time a man criticizes a woman he doesn't agree with, no matter how she actually looks, she'll be called fat and ugly. It's one of those odd little sexist things that I never could understand.

The thread right next to this one is priceless too - it's about a provider of late-term abortions who supposedly let a patient die, and after a bunch of them kick up a fuss about how evil it is that the woman was even having an abortion, someone points out that the fetus was already dead, and a couple of people say "if the fetus is dead, there is no abortion to perform". Because obviously if a fetus dies in utero proper medical practice is to just leave it there.
And these are the same people who have another thread in their forum where they talk about how the US is being dragged down by ignorant voters. Yeah, no kidding.
