shall I try again?
Your child (or perhaps you) can pray in their school if they want to. They have freedom to practice their religion as is the way it works in this country. Your child, as well as the school staff, may not force my child or any other child, to practice your religion, or any other religion in a public school.
Now I know it's hard, but think of this for a moment. Lets say you have a teenage son, and he joins the basketball team. At the start of the game, the coach gathers the team around, and leads them in a prayer to Allah. (We can skip the fact that he's really the same god, being the god of Abraham and all if you like, which I expect you do.) Now, since "God" is "allowed" in schools, the coach is completely within the right by not only leading this prayer, but denying anyone from playing if they refuse to participate.
This is why we have "no God in school". We can even go a step further and switch Allah to the FSM, or Satan if you prefer.
Religion may not be sponsored or given preference by a school, but the students may get together and practice if they desire. My wife gathered a Pagan group in her high school. I couldn't tell you how many flavors of Christian groups I encountered through school.
Stop forcing your god on people who don't want him!
He's flawed and apparently rather intolerant. We don't all like him, we don't all believe in him, it's never going to be otherwise. Get over it and get on with your life.
