Psh. A 2,000 year old game of Telephone? Seriously, if you have to visually see it happen to believe it then that dwindles every single happening before audio or video recording to a game of telephone. The Bible has been proven historically so many times. Just look at the Dead Sea Scrolls. They contained a large portion of I believe Daniel (I can't quite recall off the top of my head), and it matched up almost perfectly with the transcripts we have today.
Btw, I'm an Apostolic/Pentecostal preacher-in-training

Unless you're ignoring the fact that the Bible's been translated a few thousand fucking times, that would be the perfect analogy.

For a moment I thought he was talking about the Babble....silly me...
The Bible has been proven historically inaccurate so many times.
The DSS include a complete copy of Isaiah, twinkie.
Just because old inaccurate writings agree with modern inaccurate writings, that doesn't mean they are any less inaccurate.
The DSS include a complete copy of Isaiah...
One of the most common texts in the Dea Sea scrolls the Book of Jubilees (Lesser Genesis). Early Xians considered it a very important book. Today only the Ethiopian Orthodox Church even recognizes it, all other Chuches having suppressed it to the extent that not one full copy remained.
Shouldn't it be in your Bible too?
Christianity IS basically just a 2000-year-old game of telephone, though. In fact, all religions are based on ancients myths that have managed to survive and mutate for hundreds of thousands of years.
In the stone age they assumed the sun, moon and stars were living creatures, and eventually made them into Gods. They saw lava boil up from under the earth's crust, which is where the myths about hell come from.
A game of telephone is the perfect metaphor (it's not really even a metaphor, since it's pretty much the same thing with different information being passed along) for religion.
Apologist in training LoL
More like a brainwashee in brainwashing. He is off to a good start seeing that his claims of the DSS are misinformed.
Now I understand how Seminary works - thanks for clearing that up.
The Dead Sea scrolls (about 17% are unrecoverable) were written by a small fundie sect of Judaism.
You are seriously flawed in believeing it has anything to do with Daniel to the extent which you say.
BTW, I'm part of the team translating that particular document.

Actually, y'know, it only dwindles those things that have no other verifiable source that backs them up. Those historical documents we accept as factual have many other outside, independently verifiable documents backing them up.

Hey, guys, check it out! He thinks we've stopped playing! Haha, good one.
Oh yes, those scrolls contain proof that the bible is accurate because..well you really dont know why, but they do prove the bible correct.
What a way to present your case!
ah,a preacher in training,eh?well then...as soon as you become a licensed, practicing preacher you'll begin to make fucking sense.
"Btw, I'm an Apostolic/Pentecostal preacher-in-training"
So does that mean you don't have all the lies committed to memory yet?
