Bull. Atheists by and large don't give a crap about the starving humans in other countries. After all, to them it's just like a starving ant in a far off country. A humans value or worth is the same as any other mutated organism, right? C'mon, don't be afraid of what evolution teaches, don't hide it. This is what atheism/evolution is all about.

How about
. Bill Gates, Ted Turner and Warren Buffet... They are some of the world’s biggest philanthropists. And, guess what? They’re all atheists. And, all while never requiring those that benefit to believe any ridiculous stories from a 2,000 year old book
Bull. fundamentalists by and large don't give a crap about the starving humans in other countries. After all, to them the only important thing in life is pledging allegiance to Jesus. Once they do that, they can lie, cheat, steal and horde as much as they want, and they are forgiven, right? C'mon, don't be afraid of what fundamentalism teaches, don't hide it. This is what fundamentalism is all about.
Just because a human's value is the same as any other mutated organism, doesn't mean that it is worthless. It means we should take care of every life on earth, not just humans.
The only thing atheism is all about, is lack of belief in any gods. The way you feel about Zeus, Lodi Ty, is the way we feel about God.
I don't get this. Atheists believe there's no God. From which it follows they're heartless? Evolution explains, among much else, how human beings come to be the sort of creatures they are. From which it follows that we think one another worthless? Has this person ever assembled a logical argument in his or her life?
@#1230525:
They're convinced that humans are completely degenerate and incapable of genuine love, empathy or compassion unless threatened into doing so by God.
They also don't understand the difference between "what is" and "what ought to be." Which goes a long way towards understanding their antipathy towards science.
A human's value or worth is intrinsically the same as any other human's value or worth. Arguably we're hard-wired to protect babies and children ahead of adults, but that's about it. Psychologically, in many circumstances we still tend to favour members of our "own" community (known family members, long-time friends, even strangers with a similar shape or colour of face) above others, but this is a social construct of evolution which our physical evolution allows us to overcome through the application of reason and philosophy. How's that for a triumph of evolution?

Thanks, Lodi Ty. I've been meaning to sign up to the Atheists Giving Aid group on FreeRice.com.
I appreciate the reminder!
It's funny how a lot of the time Christians do charitable work, it's just so they can shine a spotlight on their religion. "Ooh, look at me, I'm only doing this because I'm a Christard, and if I was not, I wouldn't care about anyone except myself."
Hypocritical dumbasses.
Confused?
