[Reading evolutionary theories of the origen of man just doesn't do it for me. Now ... reading the biblical truth of the origen of man does.]
I see what you mean. People don't realize that the Bible is the ultimate science book. The biologist searching for clues on the origin of species ought to put his textbooks and journals on the shelf and brush off the dust from his Bible.

Only when the Bible is proven to be true.
And as of right now, and probably forever, very, very little of the bible has proven to be true.
Because, of course, the idea of a magic sky person creating a human out of dust and then making his consort out of one of his ribs makes so much more sense than a scientific theory that's been in refinement for two centuries.
Seriously, what the hell, people.
No, but seriously...
Oh, you were serious.
What I really want to know is..
is the Bible the ultimate cookbook?
Cos I really need help getting this soufflé to rise.
They would if the Bible had specific instructions on how to construct computers, develop medicines and said that snakes don't speak or people live, on average, only 40-100years(then). As it doesn't..............
I suspect that this is satire. As Thundersqueaks noted, the guy behind Landover Baptist calls himself Deacon Fred, and this quote sounds very much like him. However, I can't be sure. There are people that crazy out there! Satire can never match reality.
Deacon Fred, let me say this slowly. If you speak out of faith in the absense of actual substantive evidence, you are speaking out of ignorance. You can not prove me right or prove me wrong about the existence of God. That does not mean you win this debate by default. Nor does it mean I do. I however, am less likely to step on other people's toes by trying to impose my views and will on them. I do not judge them. You do.
OK then:...
Why is the sky blue?
How come Mars goes retrograde every once in a while?
Have you ever tasted a pluot?
Why is it that CO2 has no liquid state?
Explain adhesion.
How does haemoglobin differ from chlorophyll?

so insects have 4 legs, bats are birds and rabbits chew cud? I don't think so. The Bible is wrong about some basic, easily observable even to an idiot fundie , facts. And if it's wrong about obvious facts how can we trust it about the big questions?
PS: biologists don't "look for answers" in Origin of Species, we've progressed beyond what Darwin knew and what we know now has only added to the evidence that Darwin had available to Darwin that supported his theory of evolution.
The more we learn, the more solid evolutionary theory becomes.
Such science as 4 legged bugs, world-wide floods, millions of people coming from two people, bats being birds, and so much more.
The science aspect of the bible holds about as much validity as using it as an engineering guide to dirigibles.
Poor, stupid fundie. Why don't you use only technology from the Bible? Oh yeah, because that would put humanity square back into the Dung Ages.
Oh, there's no dust on the Bible, we use it constantly to show your stupidity and laugh at you.
Origen, is that some kind of origami?
How come the Bible only explains things afterwards, when science has come up with the answer? If it could have explained beforehand, we could have stopped the black plague before it killed off a third of the population in Europe. To take just one example...
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
