So...the White House compares Pope Francis to Obama, huh? Can you imagine the outrage from the left if the Reagan White House compared Reagan to Pope John Paul II? Of course, John Paul II was a traditional conservative Catholic pope. Francis on the other hand is a far left wing communist-sympathizing capitalism-hating Algore junk science-pushing popetivist and nothing more. He wants to fundamentally transform the Catholic Church (where have we heard that phrase before). Funny what it takes for liberal Demwits to suddenly find that they like religion, huh?

Short summary of polarized nut thinking:

Religious (or any, really) leader is on nut's side: Leader is a total saint, innocent of any and all wrongdoing, and just like all of the other wonderful, saintly, beautiful, perfect, well-endowed people like me. They are beyond reproach, and you're an evil, hateful person for saying they have a hair out of place.

Leader is NOT on nut's side: Leader is a horrible spawn of (insert evil being here) or is (evil being) themselves! There are no redeeming qualities, everything they touch is irrevocably tainted, and you are an evil, hateful person for even thinking they have semi-okay diction!

How does this keep happening to people?

His4life Francis has not shown for a second to be pro-homosexual. He continues the "love the sinner hate the sin" stance the Catholic church has had for decades and really doesn't want them married or thinks they can be. He is not pro-homosexual at all.

As for his environmental stance, he is accepting the scientific consensus, that's what someone in his position is suppose to do.

Like his stance on homosexuality Francis is very pro-life, very anti abortion and keeps with the Catholic church's anti contraception and pro abstinence stance. He has done nothing to change that.

He has shown no love for homosexuality or for abortion and you are deluding yourself for thinking otherwise. He is not the liberal Pope the right feared he was but they now lie to themselves to claim otherwise.
