"Redheaded streetwalkers shock police with dirty pictures and smutty poems!"
Damn those redheads. Get thee a coloring!
"Without Jesus, crazed lunatics are compelled to blast police in panels ghosted by Dick Ayers."
And ofcourse the "no morals without Jesus" cliché.
"A politician mentioned God? Pack up the heroin and whores, boys, we're through in this town once somebody mentions God!"
If only... A small lie for a greater good is excuseable. Especially if you see what politicians lie about normally.
The guy gives great comments on the comics. To bad the comics aren't as funny.
Well, Al Hartley was a much better artist than Chick anyway.
And do I remember "Lady Cop"... one of DC's lame "1st Issue Specials," a series that also spawned "The Green Team" and "The Dingbats of Danger Street." (The only worthwhile 1st Issue Special was The Warlord. )
Funny then, that in my collecting obscure comics - including "Cerebus the Aardvark", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Cutey Bunny", "Albedo", "Xanadu" - some of which had adverts for "Reagan's Raiders" (Just say no , kids!), I'd never heard of this 'Spire Publishing' before now.
Perhaps a little too obscure, or Brain_In_A_Jar is right about Jack Prick hoarding them.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
