So what does "science" suggest? Aliens did it.
Aliens who had to come into existence by the very Darwinistic processes for which there is absolutely no evidence on earth.
The missing link is on Mars!

A theory, Not THE theory. And Yes, more believable than an omnipotent God presiding over nothing.
See that Ancient Aliens dickhead host in the first post? I guarantee that shows largest audience is in the Bible Belt.
Is this about Panspermia?
It's an interesting theory, but I for one would be slightly disappointed if it turns out to be true.
Basically it takes us right back to square one.Not only will we still not know how life started, we'll also won't even know WHERE.
Plus we will be extremely unlikely to ever find out either.
@Grimsoncrow
It's unlikely, space is a big ass place for life to travel through and survive, even extremophiles would struggle to survive without any kind of energy for that long.
Secondly, the fundies point this out because they want to tell their followers that scientists are searching for an alternative to abiogenesis, because they just found out it's ridiculous and so must find another way other than the "obvious" goddidit.
It's bullshit of course. Scientists accept the possibility of alien conception the same way they do a divine being planting life here. Which is to say, very very very fucking unlikely.
Ok, aside from a few crackpots, when has any serious scientist ever suggested they believe in panspermia? And don't name Dawkins, Stein pressured him into giving a scenario where intelligent design might be possible and then edited it to make it look like Dawkins actually believes that.
...What? What kind of insane troll logic is that? Did this guy's mother smoke while pregnant or something?
I mean, I'm fascinated by the Ancient Astronauts theory, but which scientists ever uses "aliensdidit" just like creationists use "goddidit"?
Also, I doubt that idiot is aware, but the concept of "little green men" from Mars has kinda become a dead horse trope. Nobody (sane at least) takes it seriously anymore, so if you try to pretend to be an atheist, you're failing horribly.
And for the record THERE IS EVIDENCE FOR DARWINIAN EVOLUTION, dumbass. Shutting your eyes and ears to pretend there isn't any is not going to change reality.
No evidence for evolution on earth.....unless you count thousands of scientists, millions of transition fossils, and the fact that we now know the molecular basis of it. Oh, and the fact that it is still happening, right now on earth. Evolution has been well established as fact. Religion, not so much!
If you consider bacteria, yeah, there might be (or may have been) cousins on Mars. As far as I'm aware, nothing has yet ruled that out.
In no way does Giorgio A. Tsoukalos (the Ancient Aliens guy) represent atheists or rational human beings. Please do not lump that nutter in with us.
I repeat;
In no way does Giorgio A. Tsoukalos (the Ancient Aliens guy) represent atheists or rational human beings. Please do not lump that nutter in with us.
"Aliens did it" = Pfffftt! Ridic ulous!
"The answer is in science" = Even more ridiculous. Hardy de Harrrrr*snort*
"Goddidit" = Uh huh. Absolute truth. Duh.
"A theory, Not THE theory."
Nope - an hypothesis, not THE hypothesis.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
