Give me an example of more than one version of the Bible. Also, why don't you question the validity of other 'holy' books? If they were, indeed, inspired by God as well, wouldn't they also be in question? Why aren't you asking whether or not the koran is true?

Choose your bible from the nice list they've got over here . And I, personally, do question the validity of all other holy books, and question if they were inspired by God. So your entire quesiton falls flat on its face. You Fail.
Let me see. With Elohim and Yavist version too. If we take into account the four Gospels and the sources...........man, it´s going nuts. And the Koran is questioned, I don´t know if you have heard or not.
Weird; I just started playing NationStates again after a couple of years, and a few days later, it becomes a fundie goldmine. I'm gonna have to start reading the forums, now.
Also, dude...how could you be that ignorant?
"Give me an example of more than one version of the Bible."
KJV, NKJV, 21CKJV, CEV, NIV, NIRV, ESV, RSV, NRSV, ASV, NASV, NWT, NAB, BBE, TEV, GLT, LV, NASB, NLT, YLT, NLV, LB, there are dozens more of them.
"Also, why don't you question the validity of other 'holy' books? If they were, indeed, inspired by God as well, wouldn't they also be in question? Why aren't you asking whether or not the koran is true?"
I DO question the validity of ALL supposedly God-inspired scriptures. Not only do I question there validity, until those presenting them provide proof that God exists and their Bible is the word of God, I deny that those scriptures are valid.
It always comes back to religion being a driving force in EVERYBODY'S lives. They don't understand that someone could reject ALL religions, not just theirs. Of course, when it comes to theirs it turns into, 'well what about them?'
Well, what about 'em?
They've got more or less the same cockandbull story that you have. In fact, in the Koran and Torah they also have the exact same god.
So yeah, yours is dumb, theirs is dumb, it's all fucking dumb.
Don't forget those Gideons. What's the point of putting free reading matter in hotel rooms if a) it's too gall-raising to send you to sleep, b) it's too badly written to be read for interest or pleasure and c) the pages are too thin, crinkly and non-absorbent to be used for anything else you're likely to do in a hotel room?
Give me an example of more than one version of the Bible. -how many versions of the bible are there? How high is up?
Also, why don't you question the validity of other 'holy' books? - i do just not to you people
If they were, indeed, inspired by God as well, wouldn't they also be in question?- yep
If they were, indeed, inspired by God as well, wouldn't they also be in question?-it is but i dont do it because they dont get in my face like christians do
1. What level of proof would you require to show that the Qur'an is true?
2. Can you give me proof, to the same level, that the Bible is true?
Also, I'll tell you why I don't spend a whole lot of time questioning other holy books. Where I live, when people want to take away my rights because of something in a holy book that they haven't even read beyond what is preached in the pulpit, it's always the Bible.
Well, other holy texts aren't being questioned much because nobody's protesting outside of congress demanding that the Mahabharata be the basis of law, and nobody is demanding that we teach that Audhumla licked Ymir into existence in science classes...
Confused?
