If atheists truly want a power struggle for the right to be intolerant, Christians will eventually engage and win. Because we will die before we will give up our beliefs and you will not. We invented the Crusade and the Inquisition, two institutions so historically intimidating that atheists still shiver and tell each other scary stories about them centuries after the event.
We will revive them before we will abandon our faith. And while we would prefer to live with both Christian and traditional Constitutional values, if we are forced to choose between the two, we will choose the former without even thinking twice.

So, as we thought, Bible God is the perfect concept for an intolerant twit. A moronic plonker whose motto is 'Hell can't come soon enough!'
Phew! Lucky that atheism is more powerful than Bible God. Atheism is the impervious shield against religious insanity. The atheist's motto is, 'Ha! Ha! Convert me if you can! Ha! Ha!'
So your God is... Khorne?
Wait no, he is even worse. At least Khorne is only a brute and not a refined sadist unlike the God that you worship.

Christians are intolerant.

...without even thinking twice.
No need to learn to count to two, Voxie.
"If atheists truly want a power struggle for the right to be intolerant, Christians will eventually engage and win."
Because christians are really really good at being intolerant. But watch out for those New Atheists. They're atheists with no problems being intolerant of intolerance.
And in his next post Teddy will remind us how eeeevil atheists are because Yezhovschina, Holodomor, Cultural Revolution etc etc.
You want to die for your faith, Mr. Beale, don't let me stop you.
No, I don't want any power struggle. I'd much more appreciate it if the right-wing was as tolerant as the left-wing.
Dearie, both the Crusades and the Inquisition were aimed at religious people of OTHER faiths. Atheists can fake religiosity if our lives depend on it, as we often know quite a bit about religion. Also, fewer and fewer are religious, at least in western countries, so you’ll have a hard time rallying your forces.
Traditional Constitutional values are secular. Christian values, if you are to judge by what Jesus (supposedly) said, means taking care of people in need before yourself. Good luck with that

You make it sound like it's a good thing. I hope you're not actually proud about it. Also, wasn't it those dirty Catholics who came up with those two? How can they be good if Catholics came up with them?
We will revive them before we will abandon our faith.
Yeah. Try it. Seeing international human rights organizations going full apeshit over Inquisition would be so much fun. (This is not sarcasm. I actually mean it.)
Just. What. Atheists are the ones fighting tooth and nail for the right to, not just be intolerant, but actively discriminate against whomever they choose? In Bizarro World, sure.
Atheists don't shiver in fear of, nor are they intimidated by the history of the Crusades and the Inquisition simply because they are knowledgeable of such things. Only ignorant, monstrous psychopaths would attempt to intimidate the non-believes using such measures. Most Christians try to distance themselves from such events as much as possible. Especially the various flavors of Protestants because they can just blame the heretic Catholics.
This loon really thinks that if threatened with death an atheist would actually convert to a religion, thus sealing the demise of atheism, huh? But if you die for your beliefs that would somehow equate to more believers. Because being dead is so helpful. Atheists are obviously just not as foolish as suicidal Christofascists.
So why isn't the world still a theocratic dictatorship, VD? One word: Renaissance.
...but then, America wouldn't exist as you'd know it today. As Protestantism - your 'Faith' - wouldn't exist, as said theocratic dictatorship at the time of said 'Crusades' & 'Inquisition' was Catholic . Your precious Constitution certainly wouldn't exist, so there's your whole 'Faith'-destroying problem in a nutshell.
And Ratzy the Nazi whined about 'Secularism' too. Yeah. He could bend Reality to his will too, via even having so much as an 'opinion', yessiree! [/hyper-sarcasm]
Yeah, because you can force someone to believe in something. That’s exactly how faith works
VD might want to look up the Spanish inquisition and what it’s purpose was. Hint: It was something about checking if people who converted to Christianity were serious about it or not.
@ Anon-e-moose
And Ratzy the Nazi
I am not a fan of Ratzinger or the Catholic Church, but how is he a Nazi? Just being born as German in the 1920s does not a Nazi make
A lot of one-handed typing here.
But seriously, this imitation of an internet tought guy is just so dumb ass. The christians will beat the atheists because they invented the most gruesome, bloodthirsty organizations ever? Really? Then I guess you never saw how hard and crazy free people defending their rights can be.
Come and get me, you dimwitted shithead.
Maybe, but us Pagans will be more than happy to put up a fantastic fight if you try to take control again.
Never again the burning times, mother fucker.
(I know, most weren't burned, they were hung and all that jazz, but the sentiment is there. Just go with it.)

No, but being part of the Hitlerjugend ("Hitler Youth") does.
Try as you might you can't kill rational inquiry. So many leaders have tried so hard to squash it. At best they delayed it a few centuries. The pen is mightier than the sword and the thinking mind is mightier than both. Or maybe I should put that in Latin for you, Vox Day(sic): Scientia potentia est.
So, this guy is telling us he is a murderous freak? Well, at least he is honest about that. Now, should we phone the cops?
@ThatOneGuy "refined" in this case referrers to the amount of advancement over the base model, not about purity or anything nice like that. The God that these sickos seems to worship sure knows how to make people suffer...
@OhJohnNo No, give the chaos gods some credit, at least they are not pure evil, and most of them (3 out the 4 I believe) are pretty honest about their intentions.

"I wouldn't be surprised if VD is a sedevacantist."
What's that, pray tell? It sounds like "Seventh Day Adventist", but I'm doubting that that's it.
Once again I'm ashamed to share a religion with this guy.
@Da Rat Bastid
"No, but being part of the Hitlerjugend ("Hitler Youth") does."
He didn't have a choice in the matter (membership was compulsory), and alledgedly refused to attend meetings. I find it hard to hold that against him.
A sedevacantist is someone who claims that the papal throne is currently vacant, i.e. that the current pope is not in fact a valid pope. Most sedevacantists (they're a tiny group) consider all popes that came after Pius XII to be antipopes.
Only an idiot of Vox's magnitude would be proud that his religion of choice "invented" the Crusades & Inquisition.
He & his ilk can flap their collective gums all they like, but we all know what they would do if they ever had to actually back their bullshit up. We all know who the true cowards are.
@ OhJohnNo-Vox actually worships Nurgle. Looks & smells like him too.
while we would prefer to live with both Christian and traditional Constitutional values, if we are forced to choose between the two
If you are forced to choose between the two, you'll ignore both of them... because that pesky Constitution grants us ALL the right to believe how we want.
And that Pesky Christian meddler known as Jesus said you were to spread the word and then leave them the fuck alone!
You have no faith to abandon... not Christian faith anyway.
... Christians will eventually engage and win.
Which Christians? Lutherans? Baptists? Catholics? Jehovah's Witnesses? Coptics? Heck, the nation of Belgium exists as a result of war basically between Catholics and Protestants.
... we will die before we will give up our beliefs ...
Die away, Spunky, we'll try to withstand our grief.
"We invented the Crusade and the Inquisition, two institutions so historically intimidating that atheists still shiver and tell each other scary stories about them centuries after the event."
And by 'atheists', you of course mean Muslims and Jews, respectively because those were the groups that were brutalized by those dark age atrocities.
So what you're really saying is you support the wholesale slaughter of Muslims and the forced conversions on pain of death of Jews?
Oh wait...You're Vox Popoli, so of course you do you sick fuck.
I think Vox is defintiely losing it.
But when I see fantasies like this I always want to ask "how?" How do they intend to pull off the mass murder/torture/persecution of a bunch of people? How is this going to happen? How will this take place among the laws, the police, the military, the complex relations of society? What will the fall out be if anyone actually manages to somehow try this? Does he think there's enough people who want this bloodshed?
The lack of logistics suggest venting, mental illness, or that he somehow things he's scaring people.
I think he misses that when people mention the Crusades and the Inquisition it is not with fear, but digust. And those disgusted are also Christians.

No, but being part of the Hitlerjugend ("Hitler Youth") does.
Being a member of the Hitlerjugend was mandatory . Following that logic the members of the resistance group “Weiße Rose” were also Nazis. IIRC Sophie Scholl was even a troop leader in the “Bund Deutscher Mädchen”, the girls’ equivalent of the Hitlerjugend.
Ratzinger was barely 18 years old when WWII ended. There are many things Ratzinger could and should be criticized for, but being forced to join an organization when he was 14 isn’t one of them.
J beat me to it. Kudos.
Wow. This moron seems to be proud of the accomplishments of the inquisitions, et al.
Anyway, you better be a bit more respecting of the atheist. You need a gawd to have something to hang onto facing death. We have the courage to face without your silly assed gawd.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
