I believe that only the babies of believers will be raptured based on the examples of the families of Noah and Lot being removed before judgment came, while the children of the nonbelievers perished.
I do not believe babies born to non-believers will be raptured. I agree rapture-me that the Bible is loaded with the precedence that the children of non-believers suffer right along with their parents.

What about the age of accountability?
Oh, wait, that's a Catholic doctrine, and they're just evil atheists.
So God really doesn't have a problem with babies suffering.
On that note, why do you care about abortion when the True Christians who would have their babies raptured obviously wouldn't do it and the evil bastards who babies are going to burn anyway are totally the people who would do it?
That doesn't seem very fair, since no one gets to choose who they are born to. But who gives a shit, as long as it isn't you, am I right? Hell you guys don't even care if your OWN kids are left behind to suffer as long as your cowardly asses are taken out of the mess. You disgust all sane human beings.
Considering the fact that, according to the bible, god ordered the israelites to kill the children of conquered tribes, considering that god didn´t hesitate to kill a large number of kids just vbecause they called a prophet "baldhead" and considering that the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrha as well as the story of the flood implies, that there were also children killed at these events, OneDayNearer is probably right.
And it is interesting that you people at RR still think that your belief in a god who (according to your belief in the literal truth of the bible) does these things makes you morally superior
;)
To make a comment like this, you clearly think that you are inherently better than everyone else outside of your immediate belief group, to the point that other people's children have to suffer horrific torment.
And you wonder why people find you objectionable?
Ah, so your god is a baby torturer? Nice that you've admitted it at last.
Oh, and your barely concealed delight at the prospect has been noted.
Flood,Sodom&Gomorrha, the children mauled to death by bears because of the baldheaded prophet.OneDayNearer is right in the biblical sense, but it's still repulsive. If the christian god did exist there is no way I could ever worship such a man. What I don't get is if god hates children so much why do they oppose abortion?
I actually respect this view (well, kinda). He's being honest about what the Bible says and not sugar coating it. I like it when they admit that God is a dick.
WMDKitty, it's not just Catholics that believe the age of accountablity thing. My fundie Baptist church was split on the issue. Some even believed in pet heaven. Whatever gave them warm fuzzies.
Of course you do. Why would we imagine that you could even think humane thoughts? We don't. We all know that your fundamental cultist God is exactly like a psychopathic man. Your God is an unrepentant slaughterer, a scowling savage, an irrational barbarian unable to control His anger. An anger that is triggered by the slightest upsetting of His personal idiosyncratic ideals.
Your cultist God is a murderer, an egotistical and jealous monster, a humourless and flawed character, a genocidal maniac and an intemperate and unjust zealot. It's taken for granted that you would wish to emulate such a horrific entity. Indeed, you even worship the sadistic beast.
But still the humour prevails. OneDayNearer and still an eternity to wait.
Ah,
But what if a baby of believers was adopted by nonbelievers? Or a baby of non-believers was adopted by believers? Or maybe, most importantly, your damned rapture doesn't come at all?

Now, now...questions like that are going to make the RR-tards actually think about what they believe. If they did that, about 40% of the RR-tards would start complaining loudly (and thus be perma-banned in the blink of an eye), 35% would suffer a stroke and/or heart attack, and the remaining 25% would end up in straitjackets. Meanwhile, Buzzardhut and the other RR senior staff would wind up killing themselves, unable to stand the loneliness of having no more sheep to herd around wherever they please.
Infidel babies will be thrown into flames!
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
They were born to non-believers so that makes it just!
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
Our God is Love so believe in Him!
He'll burn you forever if you step out of line!
Your young'ns will be tossed into flames by Schutzstaffel officers God's angels!
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
HE REIGNS FROM HEAVEN ABOVE!
WITH WISDOM, POWER AND "LOVE"!
OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
From later in the thread:
Usually, folks here have been able to discuss their views without being told to be quiet.
Is that some sort of bizarre attempt at humour? Step the least out of line with RR's nutjob theology and you're banned!
Yep, your god has damned millions to hell for no other reason than they won't feed his ego. Tell me again why I should believe he has any love for anyone at all?
@solomongrundy: Sounds like your average "believe everything I say to the word or you don't deserve life" policy to me. The mods of RapRehensible are just emulating their God!
Do you understand now why your God is so detestable? The only thing babies did, according to your Bible, is be a descendant of Adam and Eve after "the fall". Precedent or not, that's completely unfair to beings who haven't done anything wrong other than be born. . . and they didn't even have a choice in that.
I agree rapture-me that the Bible is loaded with the precedence that the children of non-believers suffer right along with their parents.
I'm damn proud, that I don't worship this monster that you call god.
Sodom and Gomorra wasn't filled with non-believers, were they? Wasn't the problem rudeness? In my book, telling others that they are not good enough is kind of rude. And prideful too of course. Guess you won't be raptured, either...
@ WMDKitty :
The Catholics believe in a weird kind of half-assed Age of Accountability.
If you die below the Age of Accountability, you'll avoid Hell regardless of what you believe, but only if you have been baptized.
This is kinda like what OneDayNearer is suggesting, actually.
I really an getting urked by these "rapture" ready people.
Nice examples of people being spared. However, Noah and Lot were not whisked away from Earth to be in Heaven before God brought forth His wrath, but were there to be as witnesses in the destruction of evil in their times.
These "rapture" ready people really insist that God will take them to Heaven and not follow the pattern which you see in the Bible even if read literally.
These people are really, really, setting themselves up for a huge disappointment.
Age of accountability, my ass. Besides, what about abortion?, are you against it, yes or not?
@szena
Evil, but Biblically correct. There's nothing in the Bible that implies an age of accountability.
There is also nothing in the bible that actually implies a pre-tribulation rapture either. These loons take four verses from different books of the bible, twist them completely out of context, and then say it means the pre-trib rapture will happen.
A fifteen-year-old girl named Margaret MacDonald in the town of Port Glasgow, Scotland had a vision (or dream) in 1830. Her vision was that Christians were raptured just prior to the Great Tribulation. In 1831 or 1832 a Presbyterian pastor in London, England named Edward Irving heard about this "vision" and started teaching it to his congregation. It is also well-documented that John Nelson Darby, the founder of a group known as the Plymouth Brethren, and known as "the father of modern Dispensationalism", began teaching this new theory after visiting Miss MacDonald.
It all just serves to prove that one can twist the bible to mean literally anything if you try hard enough. Honestly, all of this mess started by a fifteen year old girls vision? Hmm, this all kinda reminds me of a verse from the "good book" myself...
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables" (2 Tim. 4:3-4).
So your ever-loving god condemn innocent babies to an eternity of torture for the crime of being born to non-believing parents.
Wow, what a fucking douche bag your god is, and you, for believing this vile shit.
OneDayNearer,
One day -- 730,000 days -- all the same to god, it's just like a blink of His Great Eye.
It damn sure isn't to us, though, is it?
Confused?
