Let's refrain from mentioning all the republican child abusers (sexual as well as physical) because it would be to long to read anyway. And the worst thing is that those people scream at the top of their lungs that people should forbid gays from marrying, children should be protected and that life is sacred.

As for my comment about the Dems at least feeling a bit guilty for their violations comes from the aftermath of the Rawanda conflict in which Clinton worked hard to prevent international intervention in the genocide, an action for which he later appologised and may have been the reason for his misguided "humanitarian intervention" in Kosovo later on. This at least suggests some level of guilty feelings though the result of them was still further suffering.

Sadly a sanctioned country cannot acceed to the terms for the lifting of sanctions when those terms are not made clear and or are not practical. As for not enforcing the sanctions, they were quite brutally enforced as evidenced by the deathtoll it was the oil for food program which was mismanaged and used to the advantage of saddam and his friends.
