'es into S/M, Hm?
aaa that would be more the B/D side of it
More like D/s, actually.
BDSM is comprised of (with loose definitions):
B = Bondage - Tying people up.
D = Discipline - Punishment for non-compliance with rules.
D/s = Dominance and Submission - Power exchange in which the submissive gives up power and control (submits) to the dominant.
S/M = Sadism and Masochism - Obtaining sexual pleasure from the giving or receiving of physical pain.
D/s and discipline are usually closely intertwined, as part of submitting to another often entails obeying rules they set, and being corrected for non-compliance.
Discipline may or may not involve corporal punishment, and the participants may or may not obtain sexual pleasure from the pain itself.
As far as bondage goes, it can be related or unrelated to the other elements:
Unrelated - Some people merely enjoy the sensation of restraint.
D/s - There is a power exchange implicit in being restrained by another; the person being bound is giving up control to the one doing the binding. Or, it may be used more explicitly by the Dominant to enforce their position in the relationship.
Discipline - restraint in itself may be a punishment, or a means to secure the bottom in place for other punishments.
Sadism and Masochism - the use of bondage in S&M is similar to that for discipline, as a way to cause pain or discomfort in and of itself, or a way to hold a person in place while other types of pain are being inflicted.
