Robespierre did not build a fake hill, he repurposed a church. And he wanted people to worship Reason, not any green goddess or whatever. But subtlety is not that person's middle name, would it seem.
In what way is he "taking away your second amendment rights"? He expressed an opinion, same as you just did. He, however, had a bigger audience, but that will always be the case. We still have a government of laws.

Amendment II is pretty pointless, really. If anything, it's detrimental as presently read. Gun ownership should only extend to service in a militia of the US.
Also, the basis behind it was to protect slavery. Militias doubled as slave patrols.

The NRA are a bunch of oversensitive mangrubs who are obsessed with their masculinity and their guns and fail to understand that you cannot count on "personality responsibility", you need to have laws and regulations to hold people accountable.
Why are the Crusades being dredged up here? Not to mention that the pope said nothing about being a goddess (and if he did, he would probably automatically forfeit his position). Just because he actually reminded humanity that they are responsible for the state of the planet does not make him a nature-worshiper.
