No, X-Men is fictional. It's not trying to pass itself off as truth or as evidence for anything. It's unrealistic because it involves superpowers developed in one generation, all of which are very different but supposedly come from one gene. It's not because evolution itself is wrong. Twit.

was wondering what other people had to say on it. is it okay to watch movies that promote values that you disagree with?
Yes. If you're never exposed to values and concepts that you disagree with, you're living a pretty sheltered life.
is okay to watch violence, sex adn other junk and to pay to see it in movies and to hear God's name used as profanities?? just wondering here.
Yes, it's OK to see violence and sex in movies. Both are quite common in the real world. You will likely experience both in the real world. As for God's name as a curse? God damn you, what the hell do you care? God is a figment of your imagination. Who cares if you use his name as a curse?
She's incredibly, beautifly, subtly, simply, delightfully STUPID!
Maybe you shouldn't see it, or any other movie, or read in any fiction book, or watch tv shows, or anything that could possibly include fiction, SINCE YOU CAN'T TELL THE BLOODY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FICTION AND REALITY!
This is one hilarious site. In other sections, it teaches readers to compare Chuck Norris to God, use "Deal or No Deal" to evangelize, and my favorite of all, to morph like a Power Ranger into a Satan-kicking superhero!
You would do better to get your science from science books and put your brain on "pause" while watching movies. (Then again, from the sounds of it, you've already got the last part taken care of - whether watching movies or not.)
llogical? Who cares, Spock, they've got Hugh Jackman! Speaking of Spock, they also got Captain Picard!
Funny, it was my childhood love of comics, and particularly the X-Men, that spurred my interest in evolution and real-life mutations. But then, I'm not a friggin' loon.
Wait, the only thing she thinks is NOT logical about the X-Men movies is that evolution is not scientific?
Then what the heck does she think IS scientific and logical---Fantastic Four? Spider-Man? Howard the Duck?
I think this deserves consideration for an award of some kind, though I'm still not awake enough yet today to think of one suitable. I'll work on it.

No, X-Men movies aren't meant to have real science, but no, evolution is, actually, "like" scientific (like, valley girl is awesome!).
You're absolutely right. What would have been logical was if Jesus had given all the mutants their superpowers. Of course, that raises the question of why he'd give powers to megalomaniacs like Magneto, insane killers like Sabretooth, or wanted terrorists like Mystique, but hey, we're not supposed to question what the Magical Cross Jockey does, are we?
Confused?
