Do you think you are wise because you do some research on a topic you are "arguing" about?

I know that, for Fundies, "credibility" is a four-letter word, but the rest of us appreciate putting some thought into an argument.
Perfect allegory of the "Original Sin":
Having faith that God is good: Right
Knowing good and evil: Wrong
Having faith that the Bible contains absolute truth: Right
Reading and/or trying to understand the Bible: Wrong.
Wiser than the church-fed ignoramus, yes.
Wiser than the typical layman, perhaps.
Wiser than the expert in the field, no.
And God Spoke and said unto his little fundies.
Do not ye any research, instead pull it out of your ass, as that is why I gavith you one.
meh, I tried
But yeah, that's just insane.
Well the alternative is quite foolish, but whether or not a dichotomous fallacy applies here is another matter altogether don't you think Mr Red Herring Man?
Oh and Ha-Ha about having a cry about getting PWN3D!
Not wise, but educated or knowledgable. Wisdom comes with experience, and not to everyone equally.
Fundies, take note: DO NOT mistake the random thoughts flowing through your head as god-inspired wisdom. That's called your "imagination," and it doesn't have any filters on good or bad ideas.
The holy spirit doesn't dole out superpowers, no matter how many times you imagine it does. Go down that path an you're no better than a cheap carnie psychic or spoon-bending fraud.
Maybe DCYPL has a point. Let us make sure by having me argue ferociously on a subject I know nothing about:
Einstein? Pah! What did he know? I could disprove his theories in two minutes! "E=MC" and a little "2"? Erm, hellooooo, Mr Einstein? Most of use use letters OR numbers, not both at the same time! If the guy couldn't even grasp the basics of spelling or arithmatic, why should we think he knows anything about science? The guy was a total idiot anyway. Imagine getting in a plane just to see if your watch was going slow! Just put a new battery in it, moron! Plus, I also hear he once said "God does not play dice". Well duh! Gambling is a sin!
Maths, English, Watchmaking and Theology are all areas that Einstein was clearly clueless about, which is why I don't recognise him as an authority on anything.
If anybody feels tempted to discard all of Einstein's works in the face of my scathing critique, I won't blame you. I'm quite the logical juggernaut.
RTFB!
Proverbs 1:5, "Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance."
Proverbs 10:14, "Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin."

"Aristotle, not a big fan of the research. Some of his writings show genius, but whenever he tried to do anything scientific he went so far off into the weeds one wonders why he's still remembered."
Well, don't forget, the Scientific Method wasn't invented until, what, Sir Francis Bacon?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
