Never in the History of Mankind have so many People been Killed, Persecuted, Tortured for an Ideology. Hitlers Holocaust the Crusades, all Religious wars before looks like Childs Play compared to the Religious Purges that Occurred under Communism.
Tens of Millions of People were killed by Stalin during the Purges, Tens of Millions during Chinas Culture revolution and Purges under Mao and Millions more by the Khmer Rouge in the Killing Fields in Support or an Atheistic state.
Western Atheist are the most Militant, extreme, intolerant Ideology that the world has ever seen, not bound by convention or mores, there is no hesitation in justifying the means for the ends.
It is worrying that we see the same type of intolerance and militancy on the rise in todays Western Atheist. An Ideology not born of reason but lack of reason as Nietzsche said "reason is irrelevant, I refute Kant and Decartes" this has led to the rise of Western Atheistic philosophical traditions that are not based on reason but intolerance such as Communism.
