Currently at OIA, many Muslims pray in public or even in restrooms. There is also a non-denomination chapel where prayer rugs are available.

With hundreds of new Muslim passengers, the airport wants to accommodate everyone.

The room should be open by the first Emirates flight, which is September 1.

They just wanted to cover all their religious bases, apparently.

Who is paying for this, by the way?

Are ticket prices going to increase for everyone so a super small percentage of people will be allowed to enter this praying room?

Imagine what’ll happen when Muslims find out the room is under constant surveillance. Or, will there be security anywhere near the room at all?

This seems like a silly idea, but then again, so is being politically correct.
