While we can meet the basic nutritional needs of an infant with formula, breast milk has other benefits especially with respect to development of the immune system. There may well be other benefits nutritional, developmental, or otherwise that we simply aren't aware of yet.

Unless you meant simply that we have the tools to pump the breast and bottle feed, to which I say people need to get the fuck over their uncomfortable selves and/or the need to suppress their own sexuality by moderating other peoples behavior. A lot of people don't understand what a pain in the ass pumping is, keeping it from spoiling, and no matter what you will be caught every now and then without being fully prepared and have to use the tap directly. Nobody is out there swinging tit like they're trying to pull in a few bucks on the golden pole, people in general attempt to be very discrete about it and it's a natural function of child rearing.
It wouldn't feel natural if you didn't grow up in a society that fetishizes breasts. Seeing breastfeeding more often might help people realize that breasts evolved as baby feeders, not fun balloons. It would certainly result in much healthier children. There have been studies linking feeding formula to childhood obesity.

For all those who think they're being critical of the OP but also think that staring would be ok, I am tempted to recommend some of the more painful physical remedies, such as the biblical "if thine eye offend thee...."
Of course, this is the kind of thinking that you get when heathens are allowed the barbaric ritual of breastfeeding to be happening at all. It most certainly need be banned, at least in the US. Female nudity of any kind increases lust in the society. On top of that, breastfeeding is nothing short of child molestation and harlots that subject their children to such ought to be in prison and banned from ever interacting with their children. The US is not some primitive European country or the backwards Canada or England. Here we have plenty of nutritious formula to feed the young.

My wife breastfed our two girls when they were babies and honestly there is nothing to see. First it is obscured by the baby and the rest is covered usually by a T-shirt or muslin cloth.
