I love this fundie argument. God is only present for the faithful and abandons those who have committed specific sins (despite arguments that he forgives all sins). I'll drive past the fact that it's rather conceited to know the will of an unreachable, invisible person, but shouldn't sinners be the first ones on god's list of people to visit?

These are just the growing pains the fundies must go through. A few decades from now when homosexuals will not be afraid to be themselves, it will be such a normal thing that even fundies themselves will laugh at the FSTDT archives.

Congratulations Atlanta. By doing what you did in the mid-1990s, you have joined the 20th Century. And said mayor ensured your city won the bid to host the 1996 Olympics.
Where one person in particular was bothered to show up at the Centennial Park there. Extremely bothered. That person? Eric Robert Rudolph. A right-wing Fundamental ist Christian. A white racist (and the US's own Anders Breivik), and in whom the Spirit of God was there.
Meanwhile, Houston is making great strides into the 21st Century in terms of tolerance . Earth to Ms. Waterton, you have a problem. Atlanta got over it's racism in the 1990s, just as most of the US did in 2008. Baby steps, Mary, baby steps...!
