Canuovea = Black Flag:

@whatever
'..."59 male and five female punk rock fans have been forced to have their hair cut, bathe in a lake, change clothes"...'
"Quite right."
@Black Flag
"@whatever
What the fuck is "quite right" supposed to mean? If it means what I think it means then you can go fuck yourself."
Now, I suspect whatever said 'quite right' in an ironic way, to emphasise the unjustness of said Indonesian Mutawwa's behaviour, just as so many commenters in FSTDT supposedly 'agree' with those quoted, again to emphasise how unjustifiable their words/actions are, based on their fundie way of thinking. Alternatively, if whatever actually is on the side of said 'sharia police', then on the other hand, then @Tolpuddle Martyr, SpukiKitty...
...however, strange then, that there were quite a few commenters who hadn't even considered what whatever had said, prior to Black Flag's 'flagging' whatever's comment. Why is that, I wonder...?
Simply a case of 'Reverse Poe', or merely those commenters between whatever's & Black Flag's knowing the difference between irony and not having thick enough skins to recognise such when they see it...?:

(emphasis added):
"They really do have an irony deficiency. I honestly believe that in certain parts of America now, people have started to mate with vegetables."
-Jeremy Clarkson, "Top Gear"
You tell me.
PROTIP: So many here in FSTDT say in their comments, replying to certain fundies' quotes 'DIAF'. I don't see you jumping down their throats for doing so, Canuovea.
As for what you're jumping down my throat for, re. what I say in my comments sometimes (and in this case), just five words completely annihilates your argument - because there are millions of Americans would completely agree with me: Fred Phelps. Westboro Baptist Church.
Not exactly the behaviour of human beings, I'm sure you'll agree eh, Canuovea? Or not...!
And that's before I even mention right-wing Fundamentalist Dominionist Christians. Who would love to remake the USA - tearing up the US Constitution & riding roughshod over what that document represents, nay, is the very foundation of; what so many good Americans fought & died to defend in WWII - just as said Indonesian 'police's actions enforce: A Theocratic Dictatorship, based on right-wing Fundamentalist Christian Dominionism's own form of 'Sharia Law'.
...but if you want to defend said fundie Dominionists and their agenda (via the very democratic system they want to destroy as part of such; one word: Hitler), far be it from me to stop you.
(*Switches to Doug Piranha mode*):
'I may disagree with what you say, but I defend to the death the right for you to say that you are all for the very 'people' whose very desire is to eliminate your right to say, do - and think - what you want; nay, simply eliminate you.'
[/mega-sarcasm]
Moral: If you think what I say sometimes sounds rather 'extreme', nay, 'Fundie' to you, then you've never heard of the concept of 'Sauce for the Goose'; a phrase which exists for a reason: as religionist fundies (certainly Christian ones) always claim that they are somehow 'special'; 'Blessed by God' etc, and that everyone not exactly like them - in word, action & thought - are the 'enemy', then I use similarly extreme language just to show how they sound to everyone else; a case of 'See how you fucking like it...?!'*
...or, like Black Flag, re. whatever - certainly like those redneck hicks in Squealikeapiggysvile, Bumfuck Alabama in that video clip from "Top Gear" - irony is an alien concept to some people.
Naming no names...! [/sarcasm]
There are those in the Deep South who would've seen those slogans painted on the cars of messrs. Clarkson, May & Hammond, and just laughed them off; at most, saying 'Oh, you eccentric Englishmen, and your humour...!'. And that's the difference. Education: kills 100% of all known ignorance, stupidity and preciousness dead.
It's not my fault if some people in certain countries in the world allow themselves to be educationally inferior. I refer you to my reply to Rachael & J. James here:
http://www.fstdt.net/QuoteComment.aspx?QID=85252&Page=4
*- And if said religionist fundies don't, then there's a simple solution: become hyper-tolerant left-wing Atheists. It wouldn't kill them.
There is no excuse for ignorance - and the psychological effects of such - in what is supposed to be the most developed, nay, first of the First World countries. Again, I refer you to my reply to Rachael & J. James' comments in the above thread link. 762x51's quote therein is very pertinent too.
If certain people in the world were properly educated, then they'd be able to recognise irony when they saw it.
As I say in that thread, 'there's a good reason why, in the developed world, education is compulsory' In hindsight, I'm glad I had to go to school, by law.
Y'know. 'Democratic Rule of Law'. As opposed to, say... Theocratic Dictatorship.
Your call, Canuovea.
...oh, and if you want to talk about 'ridiculously rude', I suggest you try here:

Want to 'change the world' via the internet, then what better starting point? (and trust me, better people have tried). Good luck with that.
