They can believe in evolution and still be a Christian, but that goes to show that they are: 1) In need of taking the Scriptures more seriously; and 2) In need of taking science more seriously (especially the laws of thermodynamics). Evolution is a philosophy and it is a religion, it is far from being a science. After all, it is the "theory" of evolution.

You know, all fundies pick and choose what parts of the bible to follow, which good morals they’ll uphold, and which people jesus really loves. So, it is no surprise that they also pick and choose which parts of science they will follow, and which parts they will just plain make up.

Actually, it's not the theory of creation, at least not in the scientific sense -- to be called a theory it would have to explain the available evidence and make testable predictions. As creationism ignores or denies most of the available evidence and goes to great lengths to be untestable, it's a doctrine, not a theory.

I, for one, take science very serously including the laws of thermodynamics.

Since the other laws concerning thermodynamics have even less to do with evolution, I take it that Rev. G is talking specifically about the second law of thermodynamics, the one concerning entropy. Earth is not a closed system (see: The Sun, the space), hence the 2nd. law need not aply.
Non-literalism, Earth and bodies aren't closed systems, philosophy with empirical evidence is science, scientific theories aren't guesses.
It was a nice effort, but I'll only give your quadruple failure a 6 out of 10. Add some originality next time.
