Treason does evoke a unique kind of horror.
I vividly remember when the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. It was certainly a gift from God to this nation, which was sacrificing itself in total mobilization against the Satanic forces of the Axis powers.
Millions of Americans in arms were poised to begin an invasion of Japan after the European war had been won, and perhaps a million would have lost their lives in what was sure to be the bloodiest campaign in history.
The bomb ended the Japanese resistance and the war, and we were on our knees in thanksgiving. With the atomic bomb, the world was sure to be safe for a long time to come.

Our present administration is bent on reducing American military power and diplomatic influence in the world. President Barack Obama has openly said that America has wielded too much power in the world.
He calls for “rich” nations to give up a big chunk of their riches to empower poorer countries, with a Utopian confidence that a family of nations would emerge in peace and cooperation.
There is justifiable suspicion that what he really seeks is an empowerment of Islam and its expansion of privilege and influence in America — this, even though nations where Islam rules are among the most dangerous and unstable regimes on earth.
