Philosophically speaking, God is the only true reality—He is the only thing that exists without being created by someone else. Once we discover this fact, it is ludicrous for us to go on behaving as if this world and the people in it are more important than He is. Nothing can even come close to competing with His great significance. As the Creator of all things, His opinion is obviously of supreme importance, His judgment is clearly the final say on any matter, and what He wants should be the central focus of our lives.

"God is the only true realityHe is the only thing that exists without being created by someone else."
How then did he come into being?
And why can't the universe, including this world and the people in it, exist without having been created by someONE?
Philosophically speaking, there is no evidence for any gods, let alone for your particular one, dearie.
How come the fundies say that it's we atheists who place no value on humans, that we say that humans are nothing more than animals? They often say that God can do whatever he wants with us, that we're just ants in his huge ant-farm...
After he's provided scientific evidence of his existence, I might consider moving him closer to central focus.
So you assume there's an omnipotent, omniscient god that runs every bit of the universe and is aware of what every molecule and atom is up to.... and you think he spends all his time worrying about some shaved apes on a backwater planet? Seems legit.
Shit like that is why I'm a polytheist.
what He wants should be the central focus of our lives.
And when He shows up and tells us what that is, we'll listen. Right now, all we have are thousands of different humans telling us thousands of different things about what He wants: we should wear a beanie and eat chicken and cheesecake with different forks; we should face Mecca and knock our heads on the floor five times a day; we should get dipped in water and proclaim Jesus to be our personal savior; we should eat a magic wafer chanted over by a priest, etc., etc. If you went to 10 different doctors and they told you 10 different and incompatible things, wouldn't you at least suspect that none of them actually knew what was wrong with you?
It's nice that Anna and me share belief in the same god: The Taken King and Geometer of Shapes, Oryx. Also maybe Dio Brando.
@Monsoon Your memes... ends here!
He is the only thing that exists without being created by someone else
Again, if god didn't need to be created, neither did the universe.
His judgment is clearly the final say on any matter,
The most relative morality that is possible.
"He is the only thing that exists without being created by someone else."
.Leap of faith.
.Special Pleading.
.Missing Some THING else factor.
It amazing me that they miss their deep nature/pagan belief base in the fact they insist there has to be a mind, a personality, a consciousness behind everything.
A god born INTO the complexities that a large universe generates with massive time and product is so much more sensible than (and they do claim this) A omnipresent God existing within nothingness for near eternity and only recently brainfarting everything into existence.
C'MON
Galactus makes more sense.
Confused?
