Well, that's the THEORY, anyway. Of course, no one's ever seen it happen, or found an intermediate fossil that proves the graduallist viewpoint. They've found stuff that supports punctuated equilibrium, but PE is just a convoluted way of saying God, so why not just cut to the chase?

'The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly.'

My PE teacher at school WAS God. And frankly, Armageddon, the Tribulation, and all the eternal torments of Hell were as nothing compared to what happened to you, should you - woe betide - forget your PE kit. And I'm not just talking about you being made to do PE in your underpants, neither!
>_< >:D
Except we do have transitional fossils and we have observed speciation.
And in no way does punctuated equilibrium state that Goddidit.
Strange thing, that creationists who have no clue what the theory of evolution is and don't know anything about the evidence supporting it, seem to have no problem throwing around the idea of punctuated equilibrium. I've yet to see a creationist give anything close to an accurate description of punctuated equilibrium, but they still toss the term around non-stop.

You know the standard response to that, don't you?
"Well, pesticide resistant bugs and drug resistant germs are STILL bugs and germs. They don't turn into frogs or something, so that's not evolution."
Considering what FearlessLeader appears to know about evolution, I am convinced to within a reasonable margin of error that is pretty much how he/she/it would respond.
Confused?
