The people who would have the world 'doin' it' like jack rabbits would also have us believe that condoms are %100 effective in preventing the spread of disease and in preventing pregnancy. The TRUTH is that condoms are only about 30% effective in preventing pregnancy, so one must conclude thier efficacy in preventing the spread of diseases like HIV leave somthing to be desired.

The only sure fire method for a woman to avoid an unwanted pregnancy is to not have sex. The only sure fire way for a person to avoid contracting a sexually transmitted disease to not have high risk sexual contact. For most people, this means abstinance. It certainly means fidelity to marraige vows for the rest.

The morning after pill is very worrisome because it is death in a bottle - not just to a fetus, but very possibly for the woman taking the abortifacient. Abortion should never be a simple or easy or accessible choice for anyone. It needs to be entirely under the perview of REAL medical professionals in a traditional hospital setting with the oversite of an ethics commitee in place to determine if a pregnancy really IS a danger to the life of the mother, and real counselors in place to educate any woman in that position of the full spectrum of every choice available in said situation.

If we, as a society, had put as much money into figuring out a way to preserve a tiny fetus ex-utero and cryogenicaly store it to be implanted into an adoptive mother at some future date, we likely would have saved billions of lives already and not be in this cultural morass.

No reputable source has ever claimed condoms to 100% effective birth control. Not that I would expect anyone of RR to know this, but there are other ways of having sex which do not involve putting a penis in a vagina. Don't get me wrong, I think fidelity is great, but there can be "high risk" sexual contact within marriages and there can be low risk contact outside of marriages. As with the Onion thing, this girl unfortunately is misinterpreting something that has heard. One, condoms, and I have consulted several sources, SOME OF THEM OPPONENTS TO ITS USE, don´t agree with her delusions. Only fails 3% of the times if used correctly and up to 7%. What she has mistaken is the fact that, if there is a small likage or a non-correct use it may or may not raise up to 30%. Well, unfortunately, I reasume, many abstinence only programs are spreading the so-called myth of the 30%, and it´s a federal survey, paid by the same man who is paying this people, which says so, not me. Second, she has blended information over illegal abortions and the pill. Well, to sum up. Abstinence is the best method to prevent AIDS STDs and unwanted pregnancy but lying is not going to help and people, sooner or later, are going to find out the truth.

People should be "doin' it" if they want to, and refrain from "doin' it" if they don't want to do it.
No-one is saying that condoms are 100 percent effective. They're about 97 percent effective, if used correctly. They break if you don't "squash" the top part first, ya know.

Most people are going to want to have sex, so we need to develop relatively safe ways of having sex.

The morning after pill is not an abortifacient, but an emergency contraceptive. If the zygote has attached itself to the uterine wall, it will not work. It will definitely not work on a fetus, as that has already been in the uterus for about 9 weeks. The pill is pretty safe for the woman, as far as I know; much safer than going through a pregnancy, that's for sure.

Abortion is not a simple or easy choice for any thinking human being, asshole. It should be accessible and affordable though, as the alternative is dangerous "back-alley" abortions or self-induced abortions, or hoards of unwanted children, wards of the state.

What about educating any man in that position too? It takes two to tango, and he should be involved as well, although the woman has the last say, as it's her body that is carrying the parasite.

We do have ways to cryogenically store donated eggs and sperm, to be fertilized and implanted into an adoptive mother at some future date. I think at least some of them reach "best-before-date" and are disposed of. How is this saving lives?
