What are the facts?

1% of the 1.4 million abortions committed in the US every year are in reaction to a pregnancy resulting from rape or incest.

3% of the 1.4 million abortions committed in the US every year are in response to somehealth issue the mother is facing. I believe most of these are not as serious as they are made out to be.

96% of the 1.4 million abortions committed in the US every year are the result of the mother choosing not to have the child for some selfish reason.

To compound that, the Democratic Presidential nominee wants to go a step farther. He actually supported a bill which would allow the termination of the life of a viable child after it was born, after it was fully out of the mother's womb.

Randy, you are a lying sack of shit. I had a look at current figures for abortion and they're about half of what you're claiming. In fact, 1.4 million was a peak reached in the late 80s or early 90s. The current rate is around 800,000. This is largely due to better birth control information and access.
Shall we have a look at the rest of your bullshit? You doubt that the 3% who claim a medical threat to the mother from pregnancy is valid. Are you a doctor? Do we have to let these women die to prove a point to you?
As to the remaining 96%, it isn't as cut and dried as you would paint it:
* 25.5% Want to postpone childbearing
* 21.3% Cannot afford a baby
* 14.1% Has relationship problem or partner does not want pregnancy
* 12.2% Too young; parent(s) or other(s) object to pregnancy
* 10.8% Having a child will disrupt education or job
* 7.9% Want no (more) children
* 3.3% Risk to fetal health
* 2.1% Other
The Republican party would force every woman to become a baby factory, whether she wanted it or not. I fairly certain most American women don't want this to be their life.

You mean, like not being able to take care of it, or maybe her boyfriend is an abusive ass and she doesn't want to bring a baby into the mix? Frankly, I'd rather abort it than let it suffer in the foster care system.

What about all the abortions that are caused by some medical problem with the fetus? They are not mentioned there. All the devastated men and women who thought they were going to be parents, but who are told they have to terminate the pregnancy because the fetus has no brain, or because two fetuses are so entwined they won't be viable, or some other serious malformation.

Many women (and men, when there's a responsible sperm-provider in the mix) decide to have an abortion because they won't be able to take care of a child in the way it deserves to be taken care of. That is not selfish, that is very UN-selfish. To have a baby just to complete yourself, just to have a little copy of yourself to show to the world, THAT is selfish.
