(If there is a god, why would he gift me with the intellect to reason he doesn't exist.
You'd think he would be a bit smarter, being a god an all that.)
Knowledge is a weapon from Satan that he attempts to use to detract from our purpose on this planet.

Hey Steph, either the device you are typing on is:
A gift from God, which means knowledge is a gift from god and you're wrong; or
Invented by man, which means you are wrong; or
You are using a gift of Satan.
See how real logic works?
So, knowledge is a weapon from Satan? Shouldn't you, as a True Christian, be naked, dying of hunger, disease or exposure because you eschew knowledge? Why are you using a computer?

I...um...wait a minute...
*rereads it 4 times*
I still can't make any sense of what Stephanie is trying to say.
If knowledge is Stan's weapon...
And Stan is more morally upright than Gobs...
Then I'm proud to be smart! ^v^
This is another quote that needs to be on our TVTropes page.
"That's the beauty of heaven, we can leave our brains behind." - Fundie
"Knowledge is a weapon from Satan that he attempts to use to detract from our purpose on this planet." - Fundie, saying the darndest thing
Last time I checked, knowledge came from a fruit tree, which God put in the garden with Adam & Eve, whom he gave the ability to freely decide to defy him.
Therefore, "knowledge is a weapon from God that he intended to destroy his creation from the beginning."
Just sayin'.
"The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly." (Proverbs 15:14)
Sigh. Another fundie who doesn't know her Bible.
Ok Stephanie, but according to your mythology, who created Satan? Who is the all knowing all powerful being that created everything? Who would've known that Satan would've defied him yet created him anyway?
How in the Hell do you "know" that?
Sounds like you're using Satan's weapon (knowledge) on Satan's machine (the computer).
You're playing the Devil's game with the Devil's tool.
Welcome to the Devil club!
I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.

I personally prefer this view.
Confused?
