“Well, I am a scientist,” Benishek responded. “You know, I believe in peer-reviewed science. But, I don’t see any peer-reviewed science that proves there is man-made catastrophic climate change.”

I don't see a lot of things that I know for a fact exist when I shut my eyes to ignore them. Like my hands or the chair I'm sitting in. Hell, I can't see my computer right now because I'm typing with my eyes closed. Funny that in spite of being unable to see it I could still type this on it. It's almost as if whether I choose to see the plainly visible and verifiable is immaterial.
In what field did you graduate then? And if your answer isn't even close to 'climate', you might as well not have bothered.
Of course, I already doubt you graduated at anything. Doctor Who is more of a scientist than you are.
And Peer Review involves others not giving a shit for your subjective 'belie fs'.
That's the whole point of Peer Review.
But it's way over your head. Which is why NASA still use 1950s Lockheed U-2s - but with 21st Century onboard systems - to carry out atmospheric analysis way over that head of yours.
Just ask "Top Gear"'s James 'Captain Slow' May, as he went up in one: at 70,000 feet.
And Gen. Chuck Yeager (USAF, ret) would like a word with you too, re. said point; nearly 109,000 feet. Test pilots such as Gen. Yeager have to take into account weather conditions, prior to going up in aircraft, so if yoiu want to take the matter up with them ...!
Dr. Buzz Aldrin would too. He's a Space Scientist .
The latter being a Christian . So there's a Peer who would review what you've just 'claimed', then laugh at you, as he tore apart anything & everything you base your 'claims' on. And as most involved in Peer Review aren't even Christians like Dr. Aldrin, then you'd stand as much chance as a minow in a pool of very hungry sharks. What Peer Review is all about.
A medical doctor is not a scientist, they can end up as scientists but not by default.
A medical doctor is like a car mechanic for your body, maybe a bit more complicated than a car but a car mechanic can kill more people with one error than a doctor can!
"I don't see any peer-reviewed science"
Liar, liar, plants for hire.
You're not a scientist, your a Representative, and not a particularly good one at that. Your job is to represent your voters, not push your idiotic dogma. Listen to the people who no what they're doing, for once in your depressingly long life.
Also, +1 to Creedence.
"You know, I believe in peer-reviewed science."
I believe in listening to experts who know more about a subject than I do.
Like Micheal Behe who couldn't see how his "irreducibly complex" bacteria could exist without simpler forms which he couldn't find BECAUSE HE NEVER LOOKED. Like Behe at the Dover trial this Benishek could be sat down behind a desk while evidence is piled in front of him and he'd also go "oh,, never noticed those".
"I don’t see any peer-reviewed science that proves there is man-made catastrophic climate change."
@rubber chicken
"Try looking past the truckload of money that the oil companies dropped off at your door."
Then the major German engineering company Siemens have wasted even more money in not only placing here in Hull, but further investing by expansion (and thus employing more people, thus they, and the local economy benefits as a whole) of, a Wind Turbine factory.
Germany is noted for it's scientists. It's probably why that country is the strongest in the EU today. That all-important word: Innovation .

Maybe because you haven't been looking?
