They're not trying to stop "Christians" from being "Christians". You do a good enough job of that for yourselves. You're never going to win the fight. You may claim a few victories here and there, maybe even several, but in the end letting people have equal rights is going to win over biogtry and hatred.

There is nothing even remotely Christian about your hatred for gays, pal. Jesus didn't discuss homosexuality at all. Just because later men who wrote homophobia into a book or a contemporary pack of bullying bigots who call themselves Christian hate something, doesn't make hating that thing the Christian thing to do; quite the opposite.

Christian conservative values on the other hand can die out. It would take a little while and be a very gradual process but it it very possible. I think as far as this issue is concerned, such would be the best thing.
