1. Gay marriage availability would have no bearing on the availability of straight marriage.
2. Marriage is NOT a religious practice (though it is often ceremonially observed in a religious fashion also), but a legal status, and thus it is a secular institution that is the purview of the state -- NOT of ANY religion or lack thereof.
This poster needs to really read the first amendment.

Yes, the 1st amendment allows you to practice your religion. If you are against gay marriage, the state cannot force you into one.

They almost make it seem like Christianity can only function if its members are out conquering others for God.

No church is required to accept the state's definition of marriage. And no state is required to obey your church's definition, either. If your religion says it has to be a man and a woman, then exercise your religion and marry someone of the opposite sex.
Great, so you can leave me to have rights and get married because it's not against my religion, while you ban any same-sex couples in your church from getting married.

Isn't it interesting that when shown evidence of religions that sanctify same-sex marriage, this type of jackass will change their tune to "no major religion supports same-sex marriage" and ignore the "minor" religions' rights.

As a Christian - I apologize...I also disclaim to say that I am incredibly for gay marriage...and separation of CHURCH AND STATE
but seriously GOD DAMN this is getting annoying - I wish that people would realize that there is too much hate in this world. In my mind, allowing anyone to marry anyone is allowing more love to be in this world more easily. I just sounded like a hippie...*shrug* at least I'm not a fundie...

And they're quick to denounce the more progressive denominations as "not really Christian/Jewish/Buddhist/etc." when they go for marriage equality.
My wife and I were married by a judge. We were nowhere near a church at the time. There were no prayers or invocations said. And yet, the state has recognized the legality of our 100% god-free marriage for years.
