This topic is important because the entire school system, even Christian school, is wrong to teach heliocentricism. They started teaching it to undermine God's authority. That's what I have a problem with.

Katey, you try explaining the solar system using the geocentric model.
You'd be surprised at how complicated it is. At that point, you then notice that you have FAILED.
If you assume the other planets go around the sun, and the sun goes around the Earth, you can ALMOST make geocentrism work.
Almost.
You'd still have the niggling little problem that the distant stars have to whiz around the Earth faster-than-light in order to make a complete revolution in a single dat.

It wouldn't even have to be distant stars.
The maximum speed of an object is the speed of light (c). Therefore, if the universe revolved around the earth, then nothing could exist beyond the point where its velocity would have to exceed c in order to circle the earth in 24 hours.
c = 3.0x10^8 m/s
1 revolution = 1 day = 24 hours = 86,400 second.
Distance light travels in 1 day = 3.0x10^8 * 86,400 = 2.59x10^13m
Circle with this circumference: 2*pi*r = 2.59x10^13, r = 2.59x10^13/2*pi
r = 4.1x10^12m
Or, in other words, the entire universe would have to exist within the orbit of Neptune.
(this is, of course, ignoring the fact that no objects with enough mass to be visible regardless of distance would be capable of even approaching a fraction of the speed of light, meaning that this is the MAXIMUM size of the universe, given a geocentric model)

Yow! Science!
“…heliocentricism. They started teaching it to undermine God's authority.”
If God’s authority can be undermined by the Truth, what fucking good is his authority?
Prove the science wrong, first, not the consequences if true.
Confused?
