The only times I've ever heard of child molestation being covered up because the person who discovers it shares something with the perpetrator, that thing has been religion, not alternative sexuality.

Very few homosexuals have a "thing" for man-boy love", a majority of the ones with that kind of "thing" are straight, and quite a few work within the Church, which has covered it up through the millennia. If it's so immoral, how come priests get to keep their job after they are found out?

You seem unaware that getting one criminal to spill what they know about another criminal in exchange for a better deal is a time honored law enforcement tactic.
In other words, yes, a shoplifter will turn in the burglar if it means a better deal for himself. This tactic works particularly well the more serious the crime and the longer the sentence associated with it.

You keep saying that homosexuality is immoral but it doesn't cause any harm. AND it's between two consenting adults (unlike pedophilia). So in what sense is it immoral? Your analogy is also wrong because pederasty in most countries is a crime, while homosexuality is not. Child rape is immoral. Two men or two women in a consensual sexual/romantic relationship is not.
"Honor Code"? Really? The Prisoner's Dilemma indicates a pragmatic acceptance of selfish gamesmanship, not a coherant shared code of conduct between criminals. There's no Thieves' Guild or Dark Brotherhood and no apprentice criminal gets a copy of The Thievius Raccoonus to brush up on the tenets of thievery.
