There seems to be a lot of people who are drawn to the same sex. God does not condone same sex activities. He never has nor will He ever. Homosexualality is a sin. Many people claim they are born being gay and that is not so. Being gay is a learned emotion. Feeling gay is not wrong but to act out the act is.
Jesus was not gay, nor did he have a wife. God instructs us to remain single if we are strong enough. Yet there are people who are not strong enough and are allowed to marry. God allows us to be married and have sex with one person of the opposite sex.
Being gay or acting out in a homosexual act is not natural, it is a sin. People can make up whatever excuse they want to in order to make them selves feel better about what they are doing, but it is still a sin. It is better just not to have sex at all. Look at all the diseases that result in dirty sex.
There is no such thing as a gay right, there are only human rights, other wise your practicing reverse descrimination.
We are all sinners, repent for the time is drawing near and it will be too late.

*looks at the long, long, long list of species that engage in homosexual acts...*
Someone might think it's natural, except...
Being gay is a learned emotion.
That's a hell of a lot of learning those animals are doing...
God allows us to be married and have sex with one person of the opposite sex.
So I guess Solomon's 599 other wives were just, what, hanging around waiting for the first one to die so they could move up in line?
And what about Lot? I mean, he wasn't married to his daughters, but that didn't stop him from impregnating both of them. God didn't seem to have a problem with that.

But he doesn't exist, so it doesn't matter what he does or does not condone.

Yes it is. You can't teach anybody to have a particular sexual orientation. You can't choose who you're attracted to. Like it or not, homosexuality is a normal sexual orientation. Oh, and please learn to at least spell it correctly.

Then why are so many Christians so eager to deny homosexuals basic human rights? I'd certainly call discriminating against them based on their orientation, or beating them to death, a violation of human rights.
"There seems to be a lot of people who are drawn to the same sex. God does not exist. He never has nor will he ever. Homosexualality is fine. Many people are born being gay and that is also fine. Being gay is not learned. Feeling gay is not wrong either.
Jesus could have been gay or he could have had a wife. God still does not exist.
Being gay is natural; it is not a sin. People don't need excuses to make themselves feel better about what they are doing, because it's their life, not yours. It is better just to have sex. But gay or straight, please use protection.
There are gay rights, which are a part of human rights, otherwise you could be practicing discrimination.
Please recycle."
Better?

I thought that that story was written as an excuse to kill Moabites.
But on topic: people like the OP usually have serious personal issues and are incapable of dealing with their problems in a healthy, non-destructive, non-hurtful way. I mean, if one cannot get laid, it does not give them an excuse for hate speech and discrimination.
Be honest. This has absolutly nothing to do with God. You're just repulsed by it and you can use your bible to try and back up your claims. But the simple truth is, you're wrong. If god hates homosexuals so much, wouldn't you see him do something about it. Like how he destroyed Soddom and Gamorrah?
God instructs us to remain single if we are strong enough.
ok, well god also says not to have sex before marriage, so what you're saying is that god does not want us to multiply? why'd he make us in the first place? what does this "god" fellow of yours want from us?!
God instructs us to remain single if we are strong enough. Yet there are people who are not strong enough and are allowed to marry.
God says nothing of the sort. You're thinking of that boring, sexually dysfunctional eunuch, Paul, who wrote all those pedantic lectures to the Romans, Ephesians, Hebrews, etc. about what he wanted Jesus to say.
"God instructs us to remain single if we are strong enough."
Jesus instructs us to castrate ourselves if we feel it will help us better serve God and to sell ones clothes to buy a sword. I'd say the father and the son are poor sources of guidence.
"...repent for the time is drawing near and it will be too late."
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The time has been drawing near for about 2 thousand years. Apparently, Jesus lied about when he would return. Also, Paul seems to have lied about when Jesus would return. I think after nearly 2000 years you can safely conclude that you've been stood up.
I'm with the Bible scholars who say that Paul made up Jesus (the Christ) to start his own little cult away from Judaism.
The gospels telling the story of Jesus came afterwards, making shit up so it appeared Jesus fulfilled Old Testament prophecy.
It would explain a lot about the disconnect between Old Testament god and New Testament god.
"Have sex with one person," eh? I'm hoping this just means one at a time, considering that many important biblical figures practiced polygamy. If monogamy is what he means, then yet another fundie needs to read the bible.
And yeah, homosexuality has been frequently observed and documented in the animal kingdom, curiously enough for some species, in around the same percentages as in the human population (about 10% if I remember correctly). This points to some kind of natural cause, unless you want to get even more preposterous and say the "dirty" humans are teaching wild lions how to be gay... hah and this isn't even going into the species in which gender doesn't seem to have much to do with sexual relations at all (i.e. bonobos).
"No same-sex activities"? As in no interaction whatsoever? That means no men's/women's sports, no fraternities/sororities, no Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts...
The first two I could see the fundies not missing, but I always figured they'd have a soft spot for the Scouts.
If homosexuality is not natural and has no apparent benefit, why are people gay anyway?. It´s absurd. Second, if God wanted us to be celibate if we´re strong enough, the world would depopulate in two days. Strong, in case you´re wondering, is a positive adjective, so it should be a goal for everybody. It´s absurd, to say the least, that something that enables to perpetuate the humankind is bad. And talking about the disease, they´re caused by virus which don´t care whether you´re married or not. It´s just that the way of transmitting it is through sexual fluids.
Paul urged people not to have sex, your god said 'be fruitful and multiply', and you can't multiply without having sex, but you are allowed to be gay because he wants us 'fruitful'.
Okay, bad joke.
No one is asking God to condone anything, largely because he doesn't exist. The request is that you treat others as humans and occasionally -- just occasionally -- try to occupy your mind with something useful. You might try reading a book, although I hate to start you off with something too difficult.
quite correct - human rights! treat everyone with dignity, don't give certain people more rights because they are a certain sex or colour, or want sex with the opposite sex, or because they have certain lifestyle beliefs that align them with a certain god. I can live with that
<Jesus was not gay, nor did he have a wife. God instructs us to remain single if we are strong enough. Yet there are people who are not strong enough and are allowed to marry. God allows us to be married and have sex with one person of the opposite sex. >
Under this logic if everyone was really devout to the Lord the human race would discontinue, the same thing you accuse gays of promoting.
What if you're exclusively homosexual and not "strong enough"?
"Feeling gay is not wrong[...]"
Sounds like s/he is trying to justify his/her own homosexuality.
Come out of the closet; there's nothing to be ashamed of.
"Jesus did not have a wife" - sez who? This is an argument from silence. It's most unlikely in those days that a man as old as he allegedly was at the start of his ministry would never have been married. Perhaps he was a widower. Then there's the curious business of the wedding at Cana - as the story stands it is clearly unhistorical, but Jesus' mother seems to have a prominent role, strange if she was only a guest. Of course, if she was one of the bridal party, e.g. the groom's mother, that would explain it. We are not told who the bride and groom are. The narrative may be a fictionalised treatment of Jesus' actual wedding.
Women tended to get air-brushed out of Jewish narratives: we only know that Peter was married because of a passing reference to his mother in law, the wife herself is never named.
"No such thing as a gay right, there are only human rights...." so aren't gay people human?
Funny how much Jesus has to say about the dangers of wealth and how little about being gay. You'd never guess from the comments of his present day followers.
Confused?
