I declare we SHOULD shame single mothers.
(Without the fathers consent and an inability to support it herself)
Okay sounds horrible right. However if you agree with the premise that this is a problem and this is on the increase and without something being done, we are most likely going to end up in a country / world in a complete mess. At some point we will need to do something about it. Here are the other options that spring to mind:
Forcing sterilization / abortions.
Well we can’t afford them, we can’t feed ourselves any more. We need to stop them before the kid is born. You can either start sterilizing people and get them to apply to have it reversed or we can start state enforced abortions.
Leaving children to starve in the street.
Stop all funding to help children and let them starve in the streets. This is already pretty common place in 3rd world countries and we know how pretty that looks.
Start killing people.
People are getting in this nasty habit of living longer and longer these days and if we are pumping out more and more kids that are just so damn cute. then we need to get rid of some of the people that kicking around. We could do this on a merit based system, money based system or just get rid of anyone over a certain age

So, which people should be sterilized / forced to have abortions? All single parents, or only those living near the poverty line? Do you imagine that women with a specific skin-tone would be more likely to be affected? Should we also sterilize men who meet your criteria?

Well, no, I don't agree with the premise, and neither do most other people who aren't gratuitously sticking their noses into other peoples' business. Why would you think that shaming single mothers is so important that you're willing to kill people and starve children to prevent it? Frankly, you sound a few cards short of a deck.
I very much support birth control and abortion whenever there's even the slightest question of whether or not you'll be able to support your offspring, single mother or not. Everything past that is bullshit, especially the killing people bit.
We certainly don't have the kind of resources to keep up with humanity's continued exponential growth, though. Not on this rock, anyway.

MAM probably thinks *this* is an outrageous suggestion, because he thinks you can't deprive boys of their (alleged) right to "be boys".

In a way, it's unfortunate that you'll never have any daughters, because it would be interesting to see if your attitude changed when it was your child who was abandoned by an "alpha male."

Forced sterilization/abortions have been tried in the past by totalitarian regimes like Nazi Germany and Soviet. It has never worked well, and it has always been abhorred and criticized afterwards.

Every goddamned time somebody suggests culling the herd they're the ones who have the least to offer and are explicitly more concerned with their own well being. Why do they even pretend it's logical or beneficial to anyone other than themselves? If the world ever took them up on their smug advice they'd be on a platter - possibly literally - in an hour. When that happens I call dibs on the face. The frozen look of indignant surprise will be the most satisfying part by far.

Your methods are too extreme. While I agree that it is a problem, enacting this on EVERYONE is too harsh. What about people who gave birth before this law was enacted? Those who were forced into it? And we can’t just leave innocent children to DIE, that’s horrible!
