Not fundie. My reasoning is that she is saying that a person can believe in evolution and the idea of a cosmic creator at the same time. The same idea is theasy basis of my families entire religious belief.I believe in prochoice, in human rights for everyone,LGBTs included, the idea that differing religious beliefs and cultures can and should get along, and that science is the basis for our understandingroup of the world. I also be Leif in a creative force like OPPO. Does that make me a fundie?
The God that created through the Big Bang and Evolutionary processes. Most Catholics are taught that, aren't they? As things go at least its less obstructive to knowledge then most.
Now of course he may be representing the full on "anythings possible" mentality wherein we have to suggest the skeptic approach be applied somewhat. And when you apply that the God creator is the one that can be shown to have no validity.

Nothing new here. This this the typical way of thinking for people who know very well that evolution is right and the biblical creation myth is nonsense, but don't want to give up their traditional ideas, the ones they feel comfortable with. They don't want to have to abandon their childhood stories or feel like traitors.
In fact, I believe a vast majority of christians think exactly in this way without realizing it or without thinking about it enough to have to admit it to themselves.
