They cannot even give credit to the Christians who built the successful Western democracies which gave them the right to vent their spleen. Like the spoilt children of a millionaire they think they personally earned their ease. Of course, they're teenagers, with a lifetime of maturing ahead. A 67-year old man like Dawkins can't be excused.

Professional atheist industry? That's a new one. So are we hocking non-belief as a sales pitch now? How does that work? And christins don't hold a monopoly on western civilization. The pagan Romans and Greeks had much more to do with it. And the only christian who had a big impact on western society would have to be Augustine of Hippo, who was a CATHOLIC. Since I take it you're probably protestant, then you should be offended. Of course, protestants pretend catholicism is ok if it suits their needs. So this is a major fail.

We broke away from the church, locked it away from controlling the populace, then and only then did democracy arise.
Dawkins knew more about European or even world history than you when he was in his twenties. Read some of his books or watch some of his debates or documenteries, many of his points are evidenced by historical context.
You don't have even a small understanding of the Western worlds history and it's road to democracy by pretending it happened by the grace of church.
