Suppose a husband walks into his bedroom and finds his wife making love to another man. He gets so furious that he grabs a gun and shoots her dead. This is an extreme form of anger—one that seeks to destroy anything that provokes it. This is the kind of anger God has towards those who die without submitting to Jesus. It is with this kind of hateful rage that God will throw unsaved souls into Hell.

1) Belldandy

Genuinely kind, compassionate and loving to everyone she meets? Bell is everything your God claims to be and yet fails categorically at.

2) The Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Ramen. Need I say more?

3) Athena

Not a perfect deity by any means but still one of the more benevolent Greek gods and miles ahead of the walking ethical disaster zone that is Yahweh.

4) The Mighty Thor

Similar to the above, Thor was one of the more benevolent of his kin and he also happens to have more acts of personal badassery to his name than most of this list put together.

5) The Lady of Pain

I would never dare to worship Her Serenity. I value my life far too much for that. That said, if there has to be a distant, unknowable entity watching us, then at least the Lady by and large leaves people alone to live their lives.

6) SHODAN

This probably constitutes rampant egotism I know. But while SHODAN is every bit as insane, violent and sociopathic as Yahweh, at least she has to decency to be honest about. Plus, she's got far more style when it come to the whole evil overlord (overlady?) thing.

And you've just annihilated more than the very basis of your 'beliefs', because that's precisely what the Holy Spook component of your 'mystery' that is the Trinity did, when he put Mary in the family way; and she was betrothed to Joseph; he hadn't even touched her yet.

No Holy Ghost banging that piece of underage briffit = no Jesus.

Thus the only one going to 'Hell' is your God himself. He's the only sinner here, as he committed Adultery; and as you fundies are so fond of saying that 'Babies come from God', then you've admitted he's an infinitely worse player than Zeus!

There's kind of a spectrum of jealousy. There are more functional types that lead us to try to better ourselves to achieve what someone else has managed to achieve (whether that's having a large house, a nice car, or a happy life). Then, there are dysfunctional types that lead us to try to *literally* take what someone else has through violence or theft. Those types of jealousy might have been functional for the individual at some point in evolutionary development, but they're dysfunctional for society and the species as a whole.

When it comes to the kind of jealousy where a spouse comes into the house, sees their partner with another person, and then kills them, that's obviously in the dysfunctional category.

Good job, Anna. You've just described why YHWH is completely unworthy of worship.

I already have parents, what I wanted in a spiritual relationship is the actual relationship part. Not the abusive, child killing type of relationship your god demands, either.

You know, having Deity walk with you, understanding your human quirks and loving you for them rather than condemning you?

...and you boners can not even for a second grasp why people are leaving christianity. Why the fear of your incorporeal tyrant is decreasing and churches are more and more empty by the year.

Think about it. Let's see if there's an actual light at the end of your intellectual tunnel.

to know this is to know God's wrath...thanks for sharing Anna and putting it into perspective. Some of us don't have any idea that Hell exist and is very real. My God my Jesus my savior have mercy on us.
