...Secondly there is the sin of pride which casues people to want to see their religion as better than other people's. There is one better of course but that is only understood by an objective comparison.

Sadly, I've seen real people use this exact same line of argument.
I'm gradually accepting that America's only hope for the future is that people like this are slowly being weeded out faster than they can be bred. At 1% per year, we will hopefully see them reduced to a powerless and silent minority within my lifetime. That is, it is impractical to argue with these idiots on an individual basis and we just have to hope that the recent trends of enlightenment will continue.

Yes, it's called Arrogance...
There is one better of course but that is only understood by an objective comparison.
..and this is called irony.
That was a hell of a backflip, there.
"It is pride to desire your religion to be better than others. But, of course, my religion is objectively better, so I don't need to worry about that".
Wahahahahahaha! Excuse me, I had something stupid on my monitor for a minute. Wait, there it is again, at the top of the screen! Wahahahahahahhahahahahahaha!
Something told me, that when I signed onto FSTDT this evening, to NOT bring my brand new, state of the art, Irony Meter. And I was right. I must be a prophet. Should I start my own religion? Or just proclaim what a moron this guy is.
Vegeta, what's the irony meter say about his power level?
It says that joke is really played out, so give it a rest.
I--AM--IRONY--MAN!
Is he live or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
We'll just leave him there.
Why should we even care?
(I wanted something a little less done than the "my irony meter just exploded" bit. Which, by the way, it did.)
Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Who's the most deluded of all
Mirror, Mirror in my hand
Why my brain is naught but sand
Mirror, Mirror why is it
I open mouth and out comes shit
Does that ever work?
No, it never does. I mean, these people somehow delude themselves into thinking it might, but...but it might work for us.
*kablam*
Crud, another irony meter bites the dust.
The Muslims think their religion is "objectively" better then yours.
Everybody thinks their belief is better then other people's beliefs, if they didn't they wouldn't believe it, they'd believe in something else.
Rational, intelligent people, like most non-religious and many moderate religious people realize this and don't act like total dicks to people that believe differently, and don't act like everybody else is wrong for thinking that their beliefs are the best because everybody does that.
You know what? I want to know what criteria he judges to be able to make an objective decision about the merits of a religion.
Does he judge whether they have a mini-bar in heaven?
Stock options when you join?
Please, enlighten me . . .
So, am I authorised to say that you have the sin of pride?. You believe your religion better than others(and to be honest, EVERYBODY does the same. Otherwise they would not profess it, don´t you think?)
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
