[ in response to this - Wrong. Even if you culd disprove evolution, this does not mean creationism is true. (especially young earth creationism, which is refutted by logic alone) ]

"I have ignored alot"
You sure have.
Well, at least your stupidity is by choice, wouldn't wanna think it was being forced on you.
My conscience is now clear.
I have ignored alot but you are going to mislead lots of people so I'm going to start calling you on it.
So...you're saying that the more I criticise your religion the more fuss you'll make? Well gee, I was just making conversation before but now that I know how you'll react...
...I just want to say thanks for letting me know it bothers you. I'll be sure to put more effort into disagreeing wtih you at every opportunity.
While I'm loathe to provide support to Headbrokenbrad, I'd be pretty interested in a logical disproof of YEC myself.
A demonstration that YEC cannot even logically be true (i.e. is an impossible conclusion of any premise(s)) is not the same thing as saying that all the evidence points to YEC not being true.
Logically, if there is an omnipotent god that created the universe, then he could make it look any way he wished and no amount of evidence could contradict this.

Yes it is, it's an initial premise. It's any evidence for this premise (or the conclusions arising from it) that they lack.
@ David B:
"Logically, if there is an omnipotent god that created the universe, then he could make it look any way he wished and no amount of evidence could contradict this."
That inspires the question: why? What would be the point, for this omnipotent god? Logically, there would be no reason to create the universe, or indeed to do anything at all.

@redfergus: "That inspires the question: why? What would be the point, for this omnipotent god? Logically, there would be no reason to create the universe, or indeed to do anything at all."
No, that is not "logically". It does not follow (from being omnipotent) that an omnipotent being would have no reason to do anything, or that one would would even need a reason to do something.
@David B:
It is nonsensical, to me, for the Biblical God to try and hide evidence and confuse humans to believe that the world is much older than it is since Biblically (supposedly) God wants people to be saved. It's like saying, "I want people to believe in me but I am going to erase all evidence of my existence."
Since God only cares about his ego (worship). I don't think he would be driving worshipers away.
and by the way logic has everything to do with young earth creationism.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
please stop presenting these lies all over the web.
You first.
I have ignored alot...
I can tell.
...but you are going to mislead lots of people...
Like the christians do?
"Logic" = predigested and regurgitated bullshit.
Please stop presenting this creationistic nonsense all over the web. I know you won't, just like you won't learn how to punctuate properly, but I thought I'd ask.

hmmm....so I guess the moon isn't in the earths orbit then??? cuz at it's current rate of recession(2"-5" per year) it would no longer be in earths orbit if the earth was actually billions or even millions of years old. the irony in this statement almost made me double over laughing.
>>myself.lol: hmmm....so I guess the moon isn't in the earths orbit then??? cuz at it's current rate of recession(2"-5" per year) it would no longer be in earths orbit if the earth was actually billions or even millions of years old.<<
No, it would. 250000 miles / (2" /year) = about 8 billion years. The Earth-Moon system is considerably younger than that (4.4 billion or so), but the Moon is as far out as it is because the tides were a lot stronger when the two bodies were closer to each other.
Did you miss a factor of ten thousand in your math, or were you just trolling?
Re. the quote: logical disproof can't refute young earth creationism in general, but usually so-called "creation science" is full of internal contradictions - which logic equates to disproof of those particular versions of YEC. The Omphalos Hypothesis (also known as Last Thursdayism) can't be disproven. But that's okay, because Last Thursdayism asserts that the universe is young but acts _exactly_ as though it were old.
Confused?
