The 10th Amendment states that - less there's a law which makes a specific activity illegal -you can do whatever the fuck you like. I bet Elton John and David Furnish aren't the only gay couple who have done so. Last time I heard, there wasn't a law which made the adoption at least of children by same-sex couples illegal.
