Christians are trying to push it on everyone or in schools, and the fact of the matter is, that we are trying to get it back the way it was
It's still not constitutional, and it's still forcing your religion on people, you would be crying persecution if it were some other religon being taught as fact in schools. No one is saying that you can't pray in schools, no one is saying that you can't express your religion in school. All that anybody is asking is that you respect the constitution and don't force on us what you wouldn't want forced on you.
Athiests and people like them are responsible for taking prayer away from school, or even the pledge of alligence.
Prayer is still allowed in schools as long is it isn't disrupting the class. It's not as if they can stop you from praying. What's not allowed is school/teacher led, mandatory, sectarian prayer.
As for the pledge, no one has removed "under god" from the pledge, and and you seem to have just casually brushed over the fact that the words "under god" were not added to the pledge until the "Red Scare" of the early 50's as a way to further seperate the US from the "godless communists". There was no mention to "god" in the original pledge.
Don't go around accusing people of something that they had no part in, you know, "judge not" and all that shit.
America was founded and started by christians.
America was also founded deists, atheists, and jews. Do you onestly expect me to buy that the only ones that matter ar the christians? America is called "the land of the free" after all not "the land of the free only as long as they are christians". Your religion isn't the only one in the country and there is no reason that christianity and christianity alone should recieve special status. It's made quite clear in the US constitution and the other writings of the founding fathers (including the Treaty of Tripoli) that America was intended to be a secular nation from the very beginning.

No, they don't. Your examples predate your bible by hundreds if not thousands of years. US law might have some laws in common with biblical law, but it could hardly be considered that "most" of our laws come from the bible. In fact many of are law are in direct contradiction to biblical law, for example, capatalism itself is based aroud coveting what others have, in direct violation of one of your commandments. So I'll say it once again, Don't go around making baseless and unfounded accusations and assertion on subjects that you so obviously know nothing about.

Please give up the idea that it was christians, and only christians that were responsible for the creation of the US. It's been well established that the founding fathers were not all christians, many were deists, some were quite possibly atheists, and many the christians among them would not seem like very good christians to a modern day fundamentalist like yourself.
If you think that the founding fathers were all rabid IFB or other kinds of fundamentalists then you are just setting yourself up for a disappointment.

So? The pilgrims had nothing to do with founding the US, Mostly because the were all dead by then. That fact that they were christians had as little bearing on the US then as it does now.
