Right To Life: We believe that every human deserves the right to life—from conception to death—and that we do not have the right to kill unborn children nor to murder the elderly through active euthanasia. We do, however, support the death penalty. The Bible is clear that the government has the responsibility to provide for peace and security for its people. We also believe the government has the power to take the lives of those who murder others and to wage war against our enemies.

Do you even listen to the nonsense you spew?
Us pro-choicers make snide remarks about people who support both abortion and the death penalty, but you really shouldn't make it so easy.
So no abortions even in cases where the pregnancy will likely kill the woman? No humane death for dying, lets say, cancer patient who has 1-2 months to "live", who gets no more relief from painkillers and is propaply begging for doctors to end his/her life?
And then death penalty AND starting wars are OK? I'm not even going to there.
These kind of people make me sad, really :(
Embryos are not humans, they aren't people, nor are they babies.
You pro-birthers are getting to the point that you feel life begins with dinner and a movie.
"We believe that every human deserves the right to lifefrom conception to deathand that we do not have the right to kill unborn children nor to murder the elderly through active euthanasia. We do, however, support the death penalty"
That's the biggest contradiction i have ever heard..
We believe that every human deserves the right to lifefrom conception to death
Which directly implies that a fertilised egg fully qualifies as a "human being." Kindly define "human being", and then prove this implication.
EDIT: How come my bold tags aren't working any more?
We believe that every human deserves the right to life...
We do, however, support the death penalty.
Thanks for saving me the effort of typing out that glaring contradiction in your stance. I guess there's an age limit on your respect for Human life.
"You either love people of all ages, or you shut the f*** up!"--Bill Hicks
So when you put the mother's right to life against the parasitoid cell clump in her womb's right to life, who should we favour? </loaded question>
"...the government has the responsibility to provide for peace and security for its people..."
Except the death penalty provides neither.
"Right To Life: We believe that every human deserves the right to lifefrom conception to deathand that we do not have the right to kill unborn children nor to murder the elderly through active euthanasia. We do, however, support the death penalty."
KAAAABOOOOM! There goes logic!!
(Accursed are the spiritual, for the Earth is the only Kingdom they will know)
(Accursed are those who rejoice, for they shall weep)
(Accursed are the proud, for their portion is nothing)
(Accursed are those who embrace the form of righteousness without its substance for they shall forever thirst)
(Accursed are the merciless, for they shall be afflicted)
(Accursed are the hypocrites, for they shall never see God)
(Accursed are the warmongers, for they shall be forgotten by God)
(Accursed are those who persecute, for theirs is the depths of the lake of fire)
(Accursed are you when you seek out persecution and welcome evil deeds done to you, for you have received your reward already).
Bad Wolf - is that your doing, or did you get that from somewhere? Bloody brilliant.

As for the TVC post... it's like taking one fist, jamming it against the other, and pushing as hard as possible.
"The Bible is clear that the government has the responsibility to provide for peace and security for its people. "
That's why our government has separation of church and state. We have to keep the country safe from fundies.
"Right To Life: We believe that every human deserves the right to lifefrom conception to deathand that we do not have the right to kill unborn children nor to murder the elderly through active euthanasia."
But between conception and old age, it's all bets off, eh? Basically 'Kill 'em all,let God sort 'em out!' So much for your respect for life, eh? We're seeing you & all other fundies in your true colours. So much for 'Traditional Values'.
Fuck your 'Traditional Values'. Humanism is where it's at.
We believe that every human deserves the right to life...
- Oh yes, but:
...We do, however, support the death penalty.
Does anyone see a dichotomy here?
Fuck the Bible. Killing is killing however you dress it up.
And when it comes to war or abortion the moral issues have to be weighed to see where justice falls. There is no moral absolute in this.
"Everybody deserves to live until they die, unless we decide that they don't."
WHAT THE FUCK?
And who the hell said anything about euthanizing the elderly?
A blastocyst has a right to life. Someone caught gathering sticks on the Sabbath (look it up) doesn't.
Also, if you're so into traditional values, look up what real tradition has to say about abortion. Go on.
FUCKING Hypocrites! Abortion is no more murder than ejaculation. So unless you gather up each and every sperm, and ensure it fertilizes an egg, you are just as much a murderer as anyone involved in an abortion. Not to mention, do you really think a woman just goes "Y'know what would be an absolute KICK? Let's all go out and get abortions today!" No, if a woman decides to get one, it is because she feels, for one reason or another, she is not capable of adequately catering to her child-to-be's needs. And until you sign up to be a foster parent, don't you *DARE* start harping about how the child could be put up for adoption. As for euthanasia, do you HONESTLY think it amounts to a nurse going in, and saying, "Happy 65th Birthday Mr. Jones...oh, looks like it's your time now. See ya on the flip side." It is people who are functionally brain dead. People who are in agony. People praying every day for death to take them, just to get some relief. And you have the nerve to accuse us of playing God, when you hook these people up to every machine conceivable, to force them to live that much more, for reasons I still cannot comprehend. And then...THEN you have the nerve to call us down as murderers as you support the death penalty. First of all, with appeal after appeal awaiting the sentence, it's MORE of a financial drain than keeping them on a life sentence. But what's that you say? Just kill him and be done with it? Very well then...how do you propose to UN-kill the innocent person you just executed? Several innocent people have been incarcerated only to be cleared later when new evidence came to light. You can release a person from prison...but as I said, you can't unkill them.
'We also believe the government has the power to take the lives of those who murder others and to wage war against our enemies.'
Enemies (the fundy definition); all non-buy-bull-believing people who dare to disagree with us & who try to accord women & (already-born) children equal rights, who advocate the teaching of evolution; and all gays/lesbians.
The mis-named 'Traditional Values Coalition' bases its values on those of the 4th century.
You also seem to believe the government has the right to take the lives of those unfortunate enough to live in countries your government no longer approves of...
Nothing like a healthy helping of double standards, is there?
According to the bible you're not human until your a month old and have a penis.
As for the post, yeah, this is just typical fundie bullshit.
"We believe that every human deserves the right to life... We do, however, support the death penalty."
What?!
I think I just went cross-eyed.
@Princess Rot
Braaaaaaaaaaains...
The Bible is clear that life, as a member of society, begins 40 days after birth.
We believe that all human beings, from birth to death, deserve the right to freedom and ownership of their own bodies.
Strangely enough, all EU countries manage to provide peace and security for their people without the death penalty. Most studies even show that having the death penalty is a brutalizing factor in a society.
Confused?
